Hong Kong Tourist Visa for Nepali Citizens – Complete Online Application Guide 2025

Nepali citizens who plan to visit or transit through Hong Kong must obtain a visa or entry permit before traveling, as Nepal is not listed under Hong Kong’s visa-free countries. The Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) offers an official online visa application system that allows travelers to apply easily from Nepal without visiting the consulate or embassy. However, this online service does not apply to visa extensions.

An application is likely to be approved if the applicant’s bona fides are clear, they have sufficient financial resources to support their stay, and they possess a return or onward air ticket, especially for transit visas.
