Indonesia eVisa Photo and Bank Statement Requirements for Nepali Applicants

For Nepali citizens applying for an Indonesia eVisa, a high-quality passport-size photo (white background, ≤200 KB, full face) and a 3-month personal bank statement (minimum USD 2,000 balance) are mandatory. These two documents are among the most scrutinized by Indonesian immigration officials. Submitting unclear, low-balance, or incomplete files can delay or deny your visa. Always prepare these documents early, ensure accuracy, and use the official eVisa portal for submission.

Indonesia eVisa Photo and Bank Statement Requirements for Nepali Applicants

If you are applying for an Indonesia eVisa (C1 Tourist Visa) from Nepal, two of the most important documents you must prepare carefully are your passport-size photo and bank statement. Both play a crucial role in determining whether your visa will be approved without delay or rejected due to technical or verification errors. The Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration strictly checks these files through the official portal https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id— so meeting all format, clarity, and financial criteria is essential for Nepali applicants.

Photo Requirements for Indonesia eVisa

The eVisa system requires you to upload a recent color passport-size photo with a plain white background, clear lighting, and no shadows. The photo must be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format, and the file size should not exceed 200 KB. The face should occupy about 70–80% of the photo area, showing a full front view with neutral expression and both eyes clearly visible. Photos with filters, heavy makeup, or colored backgrounds are automatically rejected by the immigration system.

The recommended dimensions are 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (35×45 mm). The photo must be taken within the last six monthsand resemble your current appearance. Head coverings are allowed only for religious reasons, provided the full face (from chin to forehead) remains visible. Glasses should not cause reflections or shadows on your eyes, and sunglasses or tinted glasses are not accepted. The eVisa portal also checks that the eye height ratio (distance between the bottom of the photo and the eyes) is between 50% and 60% of the photo height. For best results, use a professional passport photo studio or online visa photo tool.

Bank Statement Requirements for Financial Proof

One of the most crucial documents in your Indonesia eVisa application is your bank statement, which serves as proof of your financial stability during your stay. The official requirement is to submit a personal bank statement covering the last three months that clearly shows your full name, the statement period and balance details, and a minimum available balance equivalent to USD 2,000 (approximately NPR 2.65 lakh).

You can submit your statement in PDF format, and scanned images from digital banking or printed statements are both acceptable — as long as the details are clear and readable. The immigration office verifies whether you have enough funds to cover your accommodation, food, and travel within Indonesia. Statements without a visible account name, unclear transaction history, or low balances are among the top reasons for visa rejection for Nepali applicants.

While the bank statement doesn’t always need a stamp or signature, it should come from a legitimate financial institution. It’s also best to include additional financial documents such as salary slips, fixed deposit proofs, or income verification if you’re self-employed — this helps establish strong credibility. If your bank statement is in Nepali or another local language, it’s recommended to add an English translation to avoid delays.

Tips for Successful Submission

Before uploading your documents to the eVisa portal:
Ensure the photo file is below 200 KB and has clear visibility.
Save the bank statement as a single PDF file showing the last 3 months.
Check that your name on the bank statement matches your passport exactly.
Avoid uploading cropped screenshots or partial statements from mobile banking.
Do not upload fake or edited financial records — this can result in a permanent travel ban.
