Malaysia Business e-Visa for Nepali Entrepreneurs – Eligibility & Processing

Malaysia offers an easy and fast Business e-Visa (MYVISA) system for Nepali entrepreneurs who want to visit the country for short-term business activities such as meetings, trade fairs, or investment visits. The e-Visa system allows applicants to apply completely online, without visiting the Malaysian Embassy, and is processed through the official portal https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my.

Eligibility

Nepali passport holders can apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) for one business trip or a Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) for frequent visits. Applicants must have a passport valid for at least six months and three blank pagesavailable. The application must be submitted before traveling to Malaysia, as e-Visa applications from within Malaysia are not allowed.

Required Documents

Before starting the application, prepare the following:

  • Valid passport and recent passport-sized photo (white background, studio-taken)

  • Invitation or cover letter from the Malaysian company or business partner

  • Confirmed return air ticket and travel itinerary

  • Proof of paid accommodation or hotel booking

  • Bank statement showing sufficient funds

  • Business registration certificate from Nepal (recommended for entrepreneurs)

Application Procedure

  1. Visit the official MYVISA website and create an individual account.

  2. Fill out the online application form with accurate personal and passport details.

  3. Upload all documents in PDF or JPEG format (merge multiple files if needed).

  4. Pay the visa fee online using Credit Card or e-Wallet (Alipay, WeChat Pay).

  5. Wait for 2–7 working days for processing.

  6. Once approved, download and print your e-Visa on A4 paper.

Processing Time & Fees

Processing takes between 2 to 7 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays). Fees include:

  • Visa Fee (varies by nationality)

  • Processing Charge: RM 105.00

  • Convenience Charge (online payment fee): 0.8%–1.7%

Upon Arrival in Malaysia

At immigration checkpoints, carry:

  • Valid passport (minimum 6-month validity)

  • Printed or digital e-Visa note

  • Return ticket and hotel booking

  • Invitation letter or business proof

Important Notes

  • Apply at least 14 days before your intended travel date.

  • Information must match your passport exactly; errors require a new application.

  • Using third-party websites is not recommended—only apply via the official portal.

  • e-Visa validity: 6 months from issue date; each entry allows a 30-day stay.

  • e-Visa does not guarantee entry—the final decision lies with the immigration officer
