Stepping up to support those affected by the devastating Bhote Koshi floods, NMB Bank has provided financial assistance of Rs 35.1 million for relief and rehabilitation efforts. The Chairman of the bank's Board of Directors handed over the cheque directly to the Prime Minister, channeling the funds into the 'Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund'.
Alongside the cash contribution, the bank has also distributed essential relief materials worth Rs 1 million to the affected citizens. The sudden and massive floods have wreaked havoc across riverine settlements in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. The disaster has caused severe loss of life and property, displacing countless families and destroying roads, hydropower projects, and local infrastructure.
