Understanding Short-Term General Visas (C-3-1) for South Korea from Nepal

The Short-Term General Visa (C-3-1) is one of the most common South Korean visa types applied for by Nepali citizens who intend to visit Korea temporarily for meetings, events, cultural programs, training, or non-official purposes. This visa allows a stay of up to 90 days and is designed for those visiting relatives, participating in conferences, attending short courses, or engaging in cultural, academic, or religious exchanges.
Applications for this visa are processed by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kathmandu, and all applicants must first book an appointment online through the official website https://koreanembassynepal.org. Appointment slots open every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. (Nepal Standard Time). Applications are accepted at the Embassy from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while passport and visa collection take place from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Key Documents Required for the C-3-1 Visa
Documents from the Inviter in Korea:

Guarantee Letter (officially sealed or notarized)
