काठमाडौं । चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को तेस्रो त्रैमासमा नेपालको अर्थतन्त्र ३.५१ प्रतिशतले विस्तार हुने प्रारम्भिक अनुमान गरिएको छ। राष्ट्रिय तथ्याङ्क कार्यालयले सोमबार सार्वजनिक गरेको त्रैमासिक राष्ट्रिय लेखा तथ्याङ्कले गत आर्थिक वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा आर्थिक गतिविधिमा सकारात्मक सुधार देखिएको जनाएको हो । कार्यालयका अनुसार विद्युत तथा ग्यास, वित्तीय तथा बिमा सेवा, यातायात तथा भण्डारण तथा थोक–खुद्रा व्यापार क्षेत्रमा भएको उल्लेखनीय विस्तारले समग्र आर्थिक वृद्धिमा टेवा पुगेको छ । समीक्षा अवधिमा अर्थतन्त्रका १८ औद्योगिक वर्गीकरणमध्ये १६ वटामा सकारात्मक वृद्धि देखिएको छ । तथ्याङ्कअनुसार विद्युत तथा ग्यास क्षेत्रले सबैभन्दा उच्च २४.८८ प्रतिशतको वृद्धिदर हासिल गरेको छ। त्यसपछि वित्तीय तथा बिमा क्षेत्रमा १०.२७ प्रतिशत, यातायात तथा भण्डारणमा ७.८३ प्रतिशत तथा थोक–खुद्रा व्यापारमा ५.२५ प्रतिशत वृद्धि हुने अनुमान गरिएको छ । अर्थतन्त्रमा सबैभन्दा ठूलो योगदान रहेको कृषि, वन तथा मत्स्य क्षेत्रको वृद्धिदर भने १.५८ प्रतिशतमा सीमित रहने प्रारम्भिक अनुमान छ। धान उत्पादन घटे पनि पशुपन्छी, तरकारी, फलफूल तथा वनपैदावारको उत्पादनमा आएको सुधारले कृषि क्षेत्रलाई सकारात्मक अवस्थामा राखेको कार्यालयको भनाइ छ । यद्यपि, सबै क्षेत्रको प्रदर्शन समान देखिएको छैन । सार्वजनिक प्रशासन तथा रक्षा क्षेत्रमा १.५९ प्रतिशत र औद्योगिक उत्पादन क्षेत्रमा ०.५४ प्रतिशतले संकुचन आएको प्रारम्भिक अनुमान गरिएको छ। निर्माण सामग्रीको आयातमा आएको कमी, धान उत्पादनमा गिरावट तथा केही वस्तुको घरेलु उत्पादन घटेका कारण समग्र आर्थिक वृद्धिदर अपेक्षाकृत सामान्य रहेको कार्यालयले जनाएको छ । मौसमी प्रभाव समायोजनपछि हेर्दा चालु आर्थिक वर्षको दोस्रो त्रैमासिकको तुलनामा तेस्रो त्रैमासिकमा अर्थतन्त्र ०.५८ प्रतिशतले विस्तार भएको प्रारम्भिक अनुमान पनि राष्ट्रिय तथ्याङ्क कार्यालयले सार्वजनिक गरेको छ।

The Nepalese economy is expected to grow by 3.51 percent in the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83. The National Accounts Statistics released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Monday shows a positive improvement in economic activity compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. According to the office, the significant expansion in the electricity and gas, financial and insurance services, transportation and storage, and wholesale and retail trade sectors has contributed to the overall economic growth. During the review period, 16 out of 18 industrial classifications of the economy showed positive growth. According to the data, the electricity and gas sector has achieved the highest growth rate of 24.88 percent. This is followed by a 10.27 percent growth in the financial and insurance sector, 7.83 percent in transportation and storage, and 5.25 percent in wholesale and retail trade. The growth rate of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which has the largest contribution to the economy, is estimated to be limited to 1.58 percent. Although paddy production decreased, the improvement in the production of livestock, vegetables, fruits, and forest products has kept the agricultural sector in a positive state, according to the office. However, not all sectors have performed equally. The public administration and defense sector has contracted by 1.59 percent, and the industrial production sector has contracted by 0.54 percent. The office has stated that the overall economic growth rate has been relatively normal due to the decrease in imports of construction materials, the decline in paddy production, and the decrease in domestic production of some goods. After adjusting for seasonal effects, the preliminary estimate also shows that the economy has expanded by 0.58 percent in the third quarter compared to the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
