देशभरको मौसममा यतिबेला पश्चिमी न्यून चापीय रेखा, स्थानीय वायु र पूर्वीय वायुको एकसाथ असर परिरहेको छ। मौसम पूर्वानुमान महाशाखाले यही संयुक्त प्रभावका कारण देशका विभिन्न भागमा फरकफरक मौसमी अवस्था देखिने बताएको छ।
हाल हिमाली र पहाडी क्षेत्रका अधिकांश ठाउँमा आंशिकदेखि सामान्य बादल लागेको छ। कोशी प्रदेशको तराईमा पनि बदली छाएको छ भने मधेस प्रदेशमा आंशिक बादलको अवस्था कायम छ।
आजको दिनभरको मौसम हेर्दा हिमाल र पहाडी भूभागमा आंशिक बदली रहने अनुमान छ। कोशी, बागमती र गण्डकी प्रदेशका पहाडी तथा हिमाली क्षेत्रका केही ठाउँमा चट्याङसहित हल्कादेखि मध्यम वर्षा हुन सक्छ। लुम्बिनी, कर्णाली र सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशका उच्च भूभागका एक–दुई स्थानमा पनि वर्षाको सम्भावना महाशाखाले देखाएको छ।
तराई क्षेत्रको अवस्था भने मिश्रित रहनेछ। मधेस, बागमती र गण्डकी प्रदेशका तराईका एक–दुई ठाउँमा चट्याङसहित वर्षा हुन सक्छ। मधेस प्रदेशसहित कोशी, बागमती र गण्डकीका तराई क्षेत्रमा आंशिक बदली रहनेछ भने लुम्बिनी र सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशका तराईमा मौसम खुला रहने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
तर लुम्बिनी र सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशका तराई क्षेत्रका बासिन्दाले भने गर्मीका लागि तयार रहनुपर्ने देखिन्छ। महाशाखाका अनुसार ती क्षेत्रमा तापक्रम बढ्न सक्ने भएकाले केही स्थानमा तातो दिनको अवस्था सिर्जना हुने सम्भावना छ।
Nepal's weather is currently being shaped by the combined influence of a western low pressure trough, local winds and easterly airflow, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The convergence of these three systems has created distinctly different conditions across various parts of the country.
At present, most hill and mountain areas are experiencing partial to moderate cloud cover. The Tarai belt of Koshi Province is also seeing overcast skies, while Madhes Province is sitting under patchy cloud conditions.
Through the course of today, partial cloudiness is expected to persist across the Himalayan and hilly terrain. Some locations in the mountainous and high-altitude areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces could see light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning. A similar possibility of rain exists at one or two spots in the higher elevations of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces as well.
Conditions across the Tarai will be more varied. One or two locations in the plains of Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may experience thunder and rain, while the lowlands of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki are likely to remain partly cloudy. By contrast, the Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces are expected to see largely clear skies.
Residents of the western and far-western plains, however, should brace for uncomfortable heat. The department has warned that temperatures are likely to climb in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, with conditions at some locations potentially reaching the threshold of a hot day.
