2. Management Analysis:
(a) Details regarding major reasons for changes in stock, income, and liquidity of the institution during the quarterly period:
Currently, with increased liquidity in the financial market, impacting the economy and reducing the interest rate of deprived sector loans taken from banks and financial institutions, the cost of funds has decreased. The institution's stock, income, liquidity state, and overall financial condition remain satisfactory. During the review period, there have been changes in member count, borrower count, outstanding loan amount, deposit amount, stock of the institution, liquidity, and income. With an increase in income and a satisfactory liquidity position, the institution has succeeded in earning expected profit. The management estimates financial indicators to be as expected.
(b) Analytical details of the management regarding the business plan for the upcoming period:
As a national-level microfinance institution, in order to facilitate the creation of an equitable and prosperous society by facilitating easy access to microfinance services and utilizing local resources and tools in rural and urban settlements to improve the socio-economic condition of deprived and low-income families, the institution has been gradually expanding its services across Nepal. As of the first quarter review period, it operates through 58 branches across 25 districts, serving 44 thousand 2 hundred 27 deprived members with a loan investment of 2 billion 32 crore 7 lakh 9 thousand and deposit collection of 97 crore 16 lakh 48 thousand. To make financial transactions and financial access effective for members, DayaLab Banking and Mobile Banking services have been operated. Along with financial literacy and center chief workshops, organic coffee farming training and seasonal vegetable seed distribution programs are ongoing, and such programs will continue to be conducted in coming days. Various trainings will be conducted to enhance employee efficiency in the institution. Branch expansion will prioritize areas lacking microfinance access. The institution has been modifying savings, loan, and other services over time based on customer needs. The institution plans to maximally mobilize its resources for sustainable microfinance services.
(c) Analytical details regarding events, conditions, etc. from past experience that may materially affect the stock, profit, or cash flow of the organized institution:
Due to issues seen across the banking system caused by the current environment, the central bank has not been able to stay regular, causing difficulty in loan recovery, which indicates possible liquidity constraints. Additionally, negative comments in the microfinance sector, unhealthy competition seen among microfinance institutions, multi-banking transactions, and loan right issues have also negatively impacted financial institutions; to reduce this, the effectiveness of the Credit Information Bureau will gradually lower risk and identify good customers over time. Furthermore, recent revisions in regulatory guidelines and reduction in member income levels could impact the institution's stock, profit, and cash flows.
