2. Management Analysis
(a) Statement regarding the main reasons for any changes in the institution's stock, income, and liquidity during the quarterly period
Although there are signs of improvement in the business environment that slowed down following the massive public demonstration by the Gen Z generation last year, the country's economy has faced recurring severe damage due to the catastrophic flood in the Bhote Koshi River of Rasuwa district in Bhadra 2083 this year. Relief efforts for affected households and businesses/entities due to this flood are expected to impose a burden of billions of rupees on the country. Due to excess liquidity in banks, interest rates have dropped to minimum levels, yet loan demand in the market has not been able to increase as expected, while the challenge of non-performing loan recovery remains. Despite these circumstances, during this quarterly period, the bank acted according to its strategy for this fiscal year to deploy excess liquidity into quality investments, improve the credit-deposit ratio, and enhance income.
(b) Analytical report of management regarding the business plan for the upcoming period
In the upcoming period, focusing on credit flow to productive sectors as well as small and medium enterprises, properly deploying extra liquidity available in the bank, and improving the credit-deposit ratio are the primary plans. As new opportunities and new technologies develop in the banking sector alongside added distinct challenges, the bank aims to maximize the use of new technologies through Digitization and Process Automation of daily operations and services to provide fast and efficient service to customers while enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.
