City Express Waives Remittance Fees to Support Flood Victims

KATHMANDU — In a bid to provide financial relief to families affected by the recent floods and landslides, remittance company City Express has completely waived all service charges for sending money to Nepal from abroad. The company announced that this special waiver has been effective since the very first day of the disaster.

Under this relief initiative, Nepali expatriates working in Gulf countries—including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman—as well as those in Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, can now send money home without paying any extra fees. The fee waiver is equally applicable to remittances sent from European nations such as the UK, France, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Malta, Denmark, Croatia, Sweden, and Norway.

City Express, which has been providing remittance services for the past two decades, stated that the initiative aims to ensure flood-affected families receive the full, undeducted amount sent by their loved ones during this critical time. The company has implemented this facility across its various international channels and urged Nepalis living abroad to step forward and financially support their affected communities back home.
