आगामी आर्थिक वर्ष २०८३/८४ को बजेटमार्फत सुनमा लाग्ने भन्सार महसुल १० प्रतिशतबाट बढाएर २० प्रतिशत पुर्याइएपछि नेपाली बजारमा सुन तथा चाँदीको मूल्यमा उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि भएको छ । नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघका अनुसार आइतबार सुनको मूल्य प्रतितोला २० हजार ५०० रुपैयाँले बढेर ३ लाख ११ हजार १०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो कारोबार दिन शुक्रबार २ लाख ९० हजार ६०० रुपैयाँ थियो । त्यस्तै, चाँदीको मूल्य पनि प्रतितोला ३०५ रुपैयाँले वृद्धि भई ५ हजार ३४५ रुपैयाँ कायम भएको छ । बजेटमार्फत भन्सार महसुल दोब्बर बनाएपछि बजारमा सुनचाँदीको मूल्य एकैदिन उच्च दरले बढेको व्यवसायीहरूले बताएका छन् ।
Gold and silver prices surged significantly in the Nepali market on Sunday following the government's decision to increase the customs duty on gold from 10 percent to 20 percent through the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold rose by Rs. 20,500 per tola to reach Rs. 311,100, compared to Rs. 290,600 per tola on Friday. Similarly, silver prices increased by Rs. 305 per tola, reaching Rs. 5,345 from the previous rate of Rs. 5,040 per tola. Traders attribute the sharp rise in precious metal prices primarily to the doubling of customs duty announced in the new budget.
