
नबिल बैंकको लगानी उत्पादनशील क्षेत्रमा केन्द्रित, ४ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब कर्जा प्रवाहNabil Bank Focuses Lending on Productive Sectors as It Marks 42 Years of Banking Service
काठमाडौं — स्थापनाको ४२औँ वर्षमा प्रवेश गरेको नबिल बैंक लिमिटेडले आफ्नो कर्जा विस्तारलाई उत्पादनशील क्षेत्रतर्फ केन्द्रित गरेको जनाएको छ। बैंकले परम्परागत बैंकिङभन्दा बाहिर रहेर कृषि, ऊर्जा, साना तथा मझौला उद्यम र पर्यटन क्षेत्रमा लगानी बढाउँदै आएको बताएको छ।
आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को तेस्रो त्रैमाससम्म बैंकले कुल ४ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब रुपैयाँ कर्जा प्रवाह गरेको छ। यसमध्ये ठूलो हिस्सा मुलुकको वास्तविक अर्थतन्त्रसँग प्रत्यक्ष जोडिएका क्षेत्रमा रहेको बैंकले जनाएको छ।
बैंकका अनुसार कृषि क्षेत्रमा ५३ अर्ब ३१ करोड रुपैयाँ, ऊर्जा क्षेत्रमा ५१ अर्ब ६ करोड रुपैयाँ र लघु, घरेलु तथा साना तथा मझौला उद्यममा ४५ अर्ब ९२ करोड रुपैयाँ लगानी गरिएको छ। यस्तै, पर्यटन क्षेत्रतर्फ ११ अर्ब १० करोड रुपैयाँ कर्जा प्रवाह गरिएको छ।
यी चार प्रमुख क्षेत्रमा मात्रै बैंकको लगानी १ खर्ब ६१ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी पुगेको छ। बैंकले यस्ता लगानीले रोजगारी सिर्जना, उत्पादन वृद्धि र ग्रामीण अर्थतन्त्र विस्तारमा सहयोग पुग्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गरेको छ।
सन् १९८४ मा स्थापना हुँदा सीमित आकारको कर्जा लगानीबाट सुरु भएको नबिल बैंक अहिले ४ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी कर्जा पोर्टफोलियोसहित नेपालको अग्रणी वाणिज्य बैंकमध्ये एक बनेको छ। बैंकले २६४ शाखा र ३१५ एटीएममार्फत २६ लाखभन्दा बढी ग्राहकलाई सेवा दिइरहेको जनाएको छ।
‘बैंकिङ एण्ड बियोन्ड’ नारासहित अघि बढेको बैंकले आगामी दिनमा पनि जिम्मेवार बैंकिङ, वित्तीय समावेशिता र दिगो विकाससँग जोडिएका क्षेत्रमा लगानी विस्तार गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएको छ।
Kathmandu — Nabil Bank Limited, one of Nepal’s leading private sector commercial banks, has highlighted its focus on strengthening the real economy through targeted investment as it celebrates its 42nd anniversary.
Operating under the theme “Banking and Beyond,” the bank has expanded beyond traditional banking services by increasing lending in sectors linked to sustainable economic growth, including agriculture, energy, small and medium enterprises, and tourism.
According to the bank’s financial data up to the third quarter of fiscal year 2082/83, Nabil Bank has extended total loans worth Rs 464 billion. A significant portion of this portfolio has been directed toward productive sectors that contribute directly to economic development.
The bank has invested Rs 53.31 billion in agriculture, supporting a sector considered vital for food security and rural economic growth. Similarly, Nabil has provided Rs 51.06 billion in loans to the energy sector, particularly hydropower and related projects, aiming to contribute to Nepal’s energy development and export potential.
Small, cottage, and medium enterprises have also remained a major focus area for the bank. Nabil Bank has extended Rs 45.92 billion in credit to MSMEs, supporting entrepreneurship, employment generation, and local economic activities.
In the tourism sector, the bank has invested Rs 11.10 billion, supporting infrastructure development and business activities in one of Nepal’s key foreign exchange earning industries.
The combined investment in these major productive sectors has exceeded Rs 161 billion, representing a significant share of the bank’s total lending portfolio. The bank believes that such investments can help strengthen economic foundations and create long-term growth opportunities.
Established in 1984 with an initial loan portfolio of only Rs 133 million, Nabil Bank has expanded significantly over four decades. The bank currently serves more than 2.6 million customers through a nationwide network of 264 branches and 315 ATMs, along with digital banking platforms.
The bank, which has received recognition including multiple “Best Taxpayer” awards and annual report awards, has stated that it will continue focusing on responsible banking, financial inclusion, and sustainable development.
Nabil Bank said its future strategy will involve further diversification of investment areas while increasing access to financial services, particularly at the grassroots level, to support Nepal’s broader economic development goals.
