डेटा सेन्टरमा भएको 'र्यान्समवेयर' आक्रमणका कारण सोमबार रोकिएको सेयर बजारको कारोबार आज (मंगलबार) देखि पूर्ववत् रूपमै सञ्चालन हुने भएको छ। नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्ज (नेप्से) ले ७२ वटा ब्रोकर कम्पनीको कारोबार व्यवस्थापन प्रणाली (टिएमएस) मा देखिएको प्राविधिक समस्या समाधान भएको भन्दै आजदेखि नियमित कारोबार हुने जनाएको हो।
टिएमएस प्रणालीको पूर्वाधार व्यवस्थापन गर्दै आएको 'डेटा हब प्रालि' मा आइतबार बिहान र्यान्समवेयर आक्रमण भएको थियो। प्रणालीको विकासकर्ता वाइको प्रालिका अनुसार थप साइबर जोखिम र प्रणालीगत क्षति रोक्न सोमबार सम्पूर्ण बजारको कारोबार स्थगन गरिएको थियो। हाल सञ्चालनमा रहेका ९० मध्ये ७२ ब्रोकरको तथ्यांक प्रभावित हुन सक्ने जोखिमलाई ध्यानमा राख्दै नेप्सेले सुरक्षा परीक्षण अघि बढाएको थियो। बाँकी ब्रोकरको प्रणाली अन्यत्रै भए पनि लगानीकर्तामाझ असमानता नहोस् भनेर सोमबार समग्र बजार नै बन्द गरिएको थियो।
आक्रमण हुनुअघि नै आइतबार बिहान ४ बजे सम्पूर्ण डेटाको ब्याकअप सुरक्षित राखिएकाले प्रणाली पुनःस्थापना गर्न सहज भएको प्राविधिक टोलीले जनाएको छ। ब्याकअपको सुरक्षा परीक्षण र फरेन्सिक विश्लेषण सम्पन्न भएसँगै नेप्सेले कारोबार सुचारु हुने सूचना जारी गरेको हो। यससँगै लगानीकर्ताले आज बिहान ११ बजेदेखि दिउँसो ३ बजेसम्म नियमित रूपमा सेयर खरिदबिक्री गर्न सक्नेछन्।
Stock market trading, which was suspended on Monday due to a ransomware attack on a data center, will resume its regular operations starting today (Tuesday). The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) announced that the technical issues affecting the Trade Management System (TMS) of 72 broker companies have been successfully resolved.
The cyberattack targeted Data Hub Pvt. Ltd., the company managing the TMS infrastructure, early Sunday morning. Following advice from the system developer, YCO Pvt. Ltd., Monday's trading was completely halted to prevent further systemic damage and cyber risks. Although only 72 out of the 90 active brokers were directly impacted, NEPSE decided to suspend the entire market to prevent unequal access and ensure fairness among all investors.
Technical teams were able to easily restore the system using a secure data backup taken at 4 AM on Sunday, just prior to the attack. Following comprehensive security testing and forensic analysis of the backup, NEPSE issued a formal notice confirming the resumption of services. Investors can now resume regular buying and selling of shares during the standard trading hours of 11 AM to 3 PM today.
