हवाई इन्धनको मूल्य बढेसँगै नेपालमा आन्तरिक उडानका यात्रु संख्या उल्लेख्य रूपमा घटेको छ। Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal का अनुसार चैत १८ पछि दैनिक यात्रु १२ हजारबाट घटेर करिब ७ देखि ८ हजारमा झरेका छन्, जसले गत वर्षको तुलनामा करिब १८ प्रतिशत गिरावट देखाएको छ। इन्धनको मूल्य Nepal Oil Corporation ले प्रतिलिटर १२४ रुपैयाँले बढाएपछि हवाई भाडा पनि ५ हजार ४८० रुपैयाँसम्म बढेको छ। यात्रु घट्दा एयरलाइन्स तथा प्राधिकरणको आम्दानी प्रभावित भएको छ र एयरलाइन्सहरूले उडान मर्ज तथा कटौती गर्न थालेका छन्।Domestic air travel in Nepal has declined significantly following the rise in aviation fuel prices. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, daily passenger numbers have dropped from around 12,000 to about 7,000–8,000 after Chaitra 18, marking an 18% decrease compared to last year. The fuel price increase of NPR 124 per liter by Nepal Oil Corporation has pushed airfares up by as much as NPR 5,480. As a result, airlines are experiencing reduced revenue and have begun merging or cutting flights to manage lower demand.
