वाणिज्य बैंकहरूले चैत २०८२ का लागि नयाँ ब्याजदर सार्वजनिक गरेका छन्। फागुन महिनामा ४.५६ प्रतिशत रहेको व्यक्तिगत मुद्दति निक्षेपको अधिकतम औसत ब्याजदर चैतमा घटेर ४.४९ प्रतिशतमा पुगेको छ, जुन ०.०७ प्रतिशत बिन्दुले कमी हो। २० वाणिज्य बैंकमध्ये ६ बैंकले ब्याजदर घटाएका छन् भने १४ बैंकले अघिल्लो महिनाकै दरलाई निरन्तरता दिएका छन्। सबैभन्दा बढी ब्याजदर घटाउने बैंक नेपाल बैंक रहेको छ।Commercial banks in Nepal have published new interest rates for Chaitra 2082. The maximum average interest rate on individual fixed deposits has decreased from 4.56 percent in Falgun to 4.49 percent in Chaitra, a decline of 0.07 percentage points. Among the 20 commercial banks, six banks have reduced their interest rates while 14 banks have maintained the previous month’s rate. Nepal Bank has reduced the interest rate the most.

The company has approval to issue 2.08 million shares, of which 1.04 million shares are allocated to local residents and 104,000 shares are reserved for Nepalis working abroad. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares. The company is developing the 19.8 MW Upper Solukhola Hydropower Project with an estimated cost of around NPR 3.85 billion. The IPO issue manager is NMB Capital Limited.

बैंकिङ क्षेत्रमा गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति र कर्जा अपलेखन बढ्दै, जोखिम बढ्ने चिन्ताRising Non-Banking Assets and Loan Write-Offs Raise Concerns in Nepal’s Banking Sector

काठमाडौं । आर्थिक गतिविधिमा आएको सुस्तताका कारण बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थामा गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति (एनबीए) तथा कर्जा अपलेखन बढ्दै गएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को माघ मसान्तसम्म बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाको कुल गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति ५१ अर्ब २० करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जुन चालु आवको सात महिनामा करिब ६५ करोडले बढेको हो। यसै अवधिमा कर्जा अपलेखन पनि बढेर कुल ९ अर्ब ८६ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। अर्थतन्त्र सुस्त हुँदा ऋणीहरूले कर्जा तिर्न नसक्ने अवस्था बढेपछि बैंकहरूले धितो सकार गर्ने तथा कर्जा अपलेखन गर्ने प्रक्रिया तीव्र बनाएका छन्। गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति बढ्दा बैंकहरूको नाफा र लाभांशमा समेत प्रभाव पर्ने देखिएको छ। समस्या समाधानका लागि सरकारले सम्पत्ति व्यवस्थापन कम्पनी (एसेट म्यानेजमेन्ट कम्पनी) स्थापना गर्ने तयारी अघि बढाएको छ।Kathmandu – Non-banking assets (NBA) and loan write-offs in Nepal’s banks and financial institutions have been increasing due to the slowdown in economic activities. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the total non-banking assets of banks and financial institutions reached NPR 51.20 billion by mid-February of the current fiscal year. During the first seven months of the fiscal year, these assets increased by around NPR 650 million, while total loan write-offs rose to NPR 9.86 billion. The slowdown in the economy has reduced borrowers’ repayment capacity, forcing banks to acquire collateral and write off more bad loans. Rising non-banking assets may also affect banks’ profitability and shareholder dividends. To address the issue, the government is preparing to establish an Asset Management Company (AMC) to help manage non-performing loans and distressed assets.

काठमाडौं । चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को पहिलो सात महिनामा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले मौद्रिक व्यवस्थापनका उपकरणमार्फत ठूलो परिमाणमा तरलता प्रशोचन गरेको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार समीक्षा अवधिमा कुल ३१५ खर्ब ८६ अर्ब ८५ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको खुद तरलता बैंकिङ प्रणालीबाट प्रशोचन गरिएको हो, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढी हो। यस अवधिमा विदेशी विनिमय बजारबाट ३ अर्ब ९६ करोड अमेरिकी डलर खरिद गरी ५ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी तरलता प्रवाह गरिएको छ भने अन्तरबैंक कारोबारमा भने गिरावट देखिएको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकका तथ्याङ्कअनुसार बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाबीच भएको अन्तरबैंक कारोबार अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा घटेको छ। Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has absorbed a large amount of liquidity from the banking system during the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2025/26 (FY 2082/83). According to the central bank, a net liquidity absorption of NPR 315.86 trillion was carried out through various monetary management instruments, significantly higher than in the same period last year. During the period, NRB also purchased USD 3.96 billion from the foreign exchange market, injecting over NPR 564 billion into the system. However, interbank transactions among banks and financial institutions declined compared to the previous year.

During the transition period, passport services from district and area administration offices and Nepali missions abroad may be closed for one to three days, while services at the department may be disrupted for about a week. The department also said the new system may take one to three months to become fully stable, which could cause delays in passport processing and issuance.

फागुन २९ गते शुक्रबार नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदीको मूल्य घटेको छ। नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघका अनुसार छापावाल सुन प्रतितोला २ हजार ८०० रुपैयाँले घटेर ३ लाख १४ हजार २०० रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भइरहेको छ। त्यस्तै चाँदी पनि प्रतितोला २० रुपैयाँले घटेर ५ हजार ४९५ रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भइरहेको छ ।Gold and silver prices declined in the Nepali market on Friday, Falgun 29. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold fell by Rs. 2,800 per tola to Rs. 314,200. Similarly, silver also dropped by Rs. 20 per tola and is currently trading at Rs. 5,495 per tola.

पेट्रोलमा १० प्रतिशतसम्म इथानोल मिसाउन सरकारको अनुमति सरकारले पेट्रोलमा अधिकतम १० प्रतिशतसम्म इथानोल मिसाएर बिक्री वितरण गर्न अनुमति दिएको छ। उद्योग, वाणिज्य तथा आपूर्ति मन्त्रालयले ‘पेट्रोलमा इथानोल मिश्रण गरी प्रयोगमा ल्याउने सम्बन्धी आदेश २०८२’ नेपाल राजपत्रमा प्रकाशित गर्दै उक्त व्यवस्था लागू गरेको हो। सरकारको यो निर्णयलाई स्वदेशी स्रोतको प्रयोग बढाउने तथा पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको आयात घटाउने प्रयासका रूपमा हेरिएको छ।Nepal Allows Up to 10% Ethanol Blending in Petrol The Government of Nepal has allowed the blending of up to 10 percent ethanol in petrol for distribution in the domestic market. रघुगंगा गाउँपालिका-७, म्याग्दीमा २२.५ मेगावाट क्षमताको माथिल्लो ठूलोखोला जलविद्युत् आयोजना निर्माण सम्पन्न भएको छ। ठूलोखोला हाइड्रोपावर लिमिटेडले प्रवर्द्धन गरेको यो आयोजना भौतिक संरचना, विद्युतगृह उपकरण जडान र प्रसारणलाइन निर्माण सम्पन्न गरेको छ। विसं २०७८ मा निर्माण सुरु गरिएको यो आयोजना ‘रन अफ द रिभर’ प्रकारको हो, जसले १३२ केभी प्रसारणलाइनमार्फत केन्द्रीय विद्युत प्रणालीसँग जोडिएको छ। आयोजनाको लागत तीन अर्ब रुपैयाँ रहेको छ, जसमा सिटिजन्स र माछापुच्छ्रे बैंकहरूले लगानी गरेका छन्। राहुघाट क्षेत्रमा विभिन्न जलविद्युत् आयोजना सञ्चालनमा रहेका छन् र ४० मेगावाट क्षमताको राहुघाट जलविद्युत् आयोजना अन्तिम चरणमा छ। The Upper Thulokhola Hydroelectric Project, with a capacity of 22.5 MW, has been completed in Raghu Ganga Municipality-7, Myagdi. The project, developed by Thulokhola Hydropower Limited, has successfully completed its physical structure, equipment installation at the powerhouse, and transmission line construction. The project, which began construction in 2078 BS, is located in a remote area. The project is a "Run of the River" type, with a 132 kV transmission line connecting it to the central grid. The estimated cost of the project is three billion rupees, with funding from Citizens and Machhapuchchhre Banks. Several hydropower projects in the Rahughhat area, including the 21.3 MW Thulokhola Hydroelectric Project, are already operational, and the 40 MW Rahughgat Hydroelectric Project is in its final stage.
