रसुवाको भोटेकोशीमा भदौ १० गते आएको विनाशकारी बाढीका कारण त्रिशूली–३ ‘ए’ जलविद्युत् आयोजनाको सुरुङभित्र थुनिएका दुई जनाको १० दिनपछि जीवितै उद्धार भएको छ। शुक्रबार बिहान विदेशी प्राविधिकसहित नेपाली सेना र सशस्त्र प्रहरीको टोलीले नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणका कर्मचारी सञ्जय साह र मेकानिकल सुपरभाइजर कविर महर्जनलाई सकुशल बाहिर निकालेको हो। सुरुङभित्रबाट मानिस बोलेको आवाज आएपछि खोजीलाई तीव्रता दिएको सुरक्षा टोलीले उनीहरूलाई पहुँच सुरुङको मध्यभागबाट बिहान ९ः२० बजेतिर उद्धार गरेको थियो।
उद्धारस्थलमै रहेका राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीका सांसद श्रीराम न्यौपानेका अनुसार सेनाको मेडिकल टोलीले दुवै जनाको प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गरिसकेको छ। हाल उनीहरूलाई थप उपचारका लागि हेलिकप्टरमार्फत काठमाडौं ल्याउने तयारी भइरहेको छ। प्राधिकरणका अनुसार उद्धार गरिएका साह आयोजनाको अपरेसनतर्फ सिफ्ट ड्युटीमा थिए भने महर्जन मर्मतसम्भारका लागि कुलेखानी आयोजनाबाट त्यहाँ खटिएका थिए।
सुरुङबाट बाहिर निस्किएलगत्तै साहले भित्र अन्य व्यक्तिहरू पनि सुरक्षित अवस्थामा उद्धारको पर्खाइमा रहेको जानकारी दिएका थिए। सोही जानकारीका आधारमा सुरुङभित्र फसेका हुनसक्ने अन्यको खोजी तथा उद्धार कार्यलाई सुरक्षाकर्मीले अहिले पनि निरन्तरता दिइरहेका छन्।
Two individuals trapped inside the tunnel of the Trishuli-3 'A' Hydropower Project following the devastating Bhote Koshi river floods on August 26 (Bhadra 10) have been rescued alive after 10 days. On Friday morning, a joint rescue team comprising the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and foreign technicians safely evacuated Sanjay Sah, an employee of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), and Mechanical Supervisor Kabir Maharjan. The rescue operation was intensified after human voices were heard from inside, leading the team to locate and extract them from the mid-section of the access tunnel at around 9:20 AM.
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shriram Neupane, who was present at the rescue site, stated that an army medical team conducted initial health check-ups immediately after they were brought out. Preparations are currently underway to airlift both survivors to Kathmandu for further medical treatment. According to the NEA, Sah was on operational shift duty at the project, while Maharjan had been temporarily assigned from the Kulekhani Hydropower Project for routine maintenance work.
Shortly after his rescue, Sah informed authorities that other individuals are still trapped inside the tunnel but are safe and awaiting help. Based on this crucial information, security forces are continuing their intensive search and rescue operations to safely evacuate the remaining individuals.
