The capital expenditure status of various ministries in Nepal up to the end of the fiscal year 2080/81 is not satisfactory. Below are the key points regarding the capital expenditure status of the ministries:

Ministries with the Lowest Expenditure:

1. Federal Affairs and General Administration: 9.44%

2. Women, Children and Senior Citizens: 10.50%

3. Communications and Information Technology: 11.58%

4. Industry, Commerce and Supplies: 16.97%

Ministries Spending Less Than 30%:

1. Finance: 27.60%

2. Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers: 27.61%

3. Education, Science, and Technology: 27.94%

Ministries with the Highest Expenditure:

1. Defense: 81.72%

2. Physical Infrastructure and Transport: 59.66%

Total Capital Expenditure:

- Total Allocated Budget: NPR 302 billion

- Total Expenditure: NPR 148.50 billion (49.16%)

Detailed Capital Expenditure of Ministries:

- Federal Affairs and General Administration: Allocated Budget NPR 234.4 million, Expenditure NPR 22.1 million (9.44%)

- Women, Children and Senior Citizens: Allocated Budget NPR 122.5 million, Expenditure NPR 13.1 million (10.50%)

- Communications and Information Technology: Allocated Budget NPR 321 million, Expenditure NPR 37.1 million (11.58%)

- Industry, Commerce and Supplies: Allocated Budget NPR 3.4958 billion, Expenditure NPR 592.4 million (16.97%)

- Finance: Allocated Budget NPR 3.6899 billion, Expenditure NPR 1.0223 billion (27.60%)

- Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers: Allocated Budget NPR 3.6899 billion, Expenditure NPR 1.0224 billion (27.61%)

- Education, Science, and Technology: Allocated Budget NPR 5.1626 billion, Expenditure NPR 1.4425 billion (27.94%)

- Defense: Allocated Budget NPR 5.6712 billion, Expenditure NPR 4.6342 billion (81.72%)

- Physical Infrastructure and Transport: Allocated Budget NPR 128.97 billion, Expenditure NPR 76.9582 billion (59.66%)

Conclusion:

As of Asar 18, the capital expenditure status of various ministries is quite weak. The expenditures of the Federal Affairs and General Administration, Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Communications and Information Technology, and Industry, Commerce and Supplies ministries are very low. Similarly, despite the Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ministry having the highest allocated budget, its expenditure is only 59.66%.
