सूचना प्रविधि आईटीमा सरकार लचक : कम्पनीलाई निःशुल्क कार्यालय उपलब्ध गराउने Government flexible in Information Technology IT: Providing free offices to companies
सरकारले सूचना प्रविधि (आईटी) सम्बन्धी कम्पनीलाई निःशुल्क कार्यालय उपलब्ध गराउने घोषणा गरेको छ। अर्थमन्त्री वर्षमान पुनले बजेट प्रस्तुत गर्दै काठमाडौं र बुटवलमा सरकारी भवनलाई सूचना प्रविधि पार्क बनाइने र त्यहाँ आईटी कम्पनीहरूलाई तीन वर्षसम्म निःशुल्क वर्कस्टेसन उपलब्ध गराइने बताएका छन्।
बजेटमा ती आईटी पार्कहरूमा आईटी उद्योगका लागि सबै प्रकारका पूर्वाधार उपलब्ध गराइने घोषणा पनि गरिएको छ। साथै, ललितपुरको खुमलटारमा ज्ञान पार्क स्थापना गरिने घोषणा गरिएको छ।
अर्थमन्त्री पुनले सरकारी निकायहरूले स्वदेशमा उत्पादित सफ्टवेयरलाई प्राथमिकता दिने घोषणा गरेका छन्। यसका साथै, देशका सबै वडा र सामुदायिक विद्यालयहरूमा इन्टरनेटको पहुँच पुर्याउने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गरिएको छ।
यस कदमले नेपालमा आईटी क्षेत्रको विकासमा सहयोग पुर्याउने, स्टार्टअपहरू र स्थापित कम्पनीहरूलाई आवश्यक सहयोग उपलब्ध गराउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। यो पहलले स्थानीय सफ्टवेयर उत्पादनलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने र देशव्यापी डिजिटल साक्षरता र सम्पर्कता वृद्धि गर्ने उद्देश्य राखेको छ। यसले नेपाललाई आईटी विकास र प्रविधि उन्नतिको उदीयमान केन्द्रका रूपमा स्थापित गर्ने महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्नेछ।
The government has announced that it will provide free office space to information technology (IT) companies. This initiative, revealed through the recent budget announcement, includes converting government buildings in Kathmandu and Butwal into IT parks where IT companies will have access to free workstations for up to three years.
These IT parks will be equipped with all necessary infrastructure to support the IT industry. Additionally, the budget has earmarked the establishment of a Knowledge Park in Khumaltar, Lalitpur.
Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada also declared that domestically produced software will be prioritized for use within government agencies. Furthermore, the government has committed to ensuring internet access in all wards and community schools across the country.
This move is expected to foster the growth of the IT sector in Nepal, providing vital support to startups and established companies alike. The initiative aims to boost local software production and enhance digital literacy and connectivity nationwide. This step signifies a substantial push towards digital transformation and innovation in Nepal, aiming to position the country as a burgeoning hub for IT development and technological advancement.
