महासंघको साधारणसभा मिति तय गर्न ५ चैतमा कार्यकारिणी बैठकFNCCI to Hold Executive Meeting on March 18 to Set Dates for Central and Provincial General Assemblies
निजी क्षेत्रको सबैभन्दा ठूलो छाता संगठन नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ (एफएनसीसीआई) ले केन्द्रीय तथा प्रदेश महासंघको साधारणसभाको मिति तय गर्न ५ चैतमा कार्यकारिणी समितिको बैठक बोलाउने निर्णय गरेको छ। बुधबार बसेको महासंघका पदाधिकारीहरूको बैठकले उक्त निर्णय गरेको हो। महासंघका अध्यक्ष चन्द्रप्रसाद ढकालका अनुसार सो बैठकबाट प्रदेश महासंघ र केन्द्रीय महासंघको साधारणसभाको मिति तय गरिनेछ।यसअघि महासंघले २४ माघदेखि २ फागुनसम्म सातवटै प्रदेश महासंघको साधारणसभा सम्पन्न गर्ने योजना बनाएको थियो। तर, त्यस समयमा लागू भएको निर्वाचन आचारसंहिताका कारण निर्वाचन आयोगले अनुमति नदिएपछि प्रदेश सभाहरू स्थगित भएका थिए। त्यसपछि महासंघले नयाँ मिति तय गर्ने तयारी थालेको हो।महासंघको विधानअनुसार केन्द्रीय साधारणसभा चैत २८ र २९ गते आयोजना गर्नुपर्ने व्यवस्था रहेको छ। तर, केन्द्रीय सभा अघि प्रदेश महासंघको साधारणसभा कम्तीमा एक महिनाअघि सम्पन्न हुनुपर्ने र त्यसको सूचना २१ दिनअघि सार्वजनिक गर्नुपर्ने प्रावधान छ। यही आधारमा चैत ५ मा बस्ने कार्यकारिणी समितिको बैठकले प्रदेश महासंघको साधारणसभाको नयाँ मिति निर्धारण गर्ने र त्यसपछि एक महिनापछि केन्द्रीय साधारणसभा गर्ने गरी तालिका तय गरिने स्रोतले जनाएको छ।यसपटक महासंघमा केन्द्रीय तथा प्रदेश स्तरका पदाधिकारीहरूको निर्वाचन समेत हुने भएकाले साधारणसभालाई विशेष महत्वका साथ हेरिएको छ। सम्भावित उम्मेदवारहरूले समूह गठन गर्दै निर्वाचनको तयारी सुरु गरिसकेका छन्।महासंघभित्र नेतृत्व चयनसँगै आगामी आर्थिक नीतिहरू, निजी क्षेत्रको भूमिकालगायत विषयमा पनि साधारणसभाले महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। त्यसैले महासंघको साधारणसभा आगामी महिनाभित्रै सम्पन्न हुने अनुमान गरिएको छ।
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the largest umbrella organization representing Nepal’s private sector, has decided to convene an Executive Committee meeting on March 18 (Chaitra 5) to determine the schedule for its central and provincial general assemblies. The decision was made during a meeting of FNCCI office bearers held on Wednesday. According to FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the upcoming meeting will finalize the dates for both the provincial federation assemblies and the central general assembly.Earlier, the federation had planned to conduct general assemblies of all seven provincial federations between February 6 (Magh 24) and February 14 (Falgun 2). However, those meetings could not be held as the Election Commission did not grant permission due to the enforcement of the election code of conduct during that period. As a result, the federation has now initiated preparations to set a revised schedule.Under FNCCI’s statute, the central general assembly is required to be held on March 31 and April 1 (Chaitra 28 and 29). However, the statute also requires that the provincial assemblies must be completed at least one month before the central assembly, and official notice must be issued 21 days in advance. Based on these provisions, sources indicate that the Executive Committee meeting scheduled for March 18 will determine the dates for the provincial assemblies, after which the central assembly will be scheduled approximately one month later.This year’s general assembly has drawn significant attention as it will include elections for key leadership positions at both the central and provincial levels within the federation. Potential candidates have already begun forming alliances and organizing their election campaigns.Given the importance of leadership selection and policy direction for the private sector, the upcoming general assembly is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the federation’s future agenda. Observers anticipate that the entire process of provincial and central assemblies will be completed within the coming month.
