नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्जका पूर्व प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत शङ्करमान सिंह को आकस्मिक हृदयघातका कारण निधन भएको छ। पारिवारिक स्रोतका अनुसार उनको गएराति निधन भएको हो। सिंहले वि.सं. २०६४ देखि २०६८ सम्म नेप्सेको नेतृत्व गर्दै नेपालको पूँजी बजार विस्तार, लगानीकर्ताको पहुँच वृद्धि तथा बजार सुधारका क्षेत्रमा महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिएका थिए । नेप्सेपछि उनले विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (SEZ) विकास समितिको कार्यकारी निर्देशकका रूपमा कार्य गर्दै निर्यातमुखी उद्योग प्रवर्द्धन र औद्योगिक वातावरण निर्माणमा उल्लेखनीय भूमिका निर्वाह गरेका थिए। उनी कुशल प्रशासक, प्रखर आर्थिक विश्लेषक तथा लेखकका रूपमा परिचित थिए। राष्ट्रिय दैनिकहरूमा उनले आर्थिक, वित्तीय तथा पूँजी बजारसम्बन्धी सयौँ विश्लेषणात्मक लेख प्रकाशित गरेका थिए। विभिन्न सरकारी निकाय तथा राष्ट्रिय–अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मञ्चहरूमा सक्रिय रहँदै आएका सिंहलाई स्पष्ट वक्ता र दूरदर्शी नेतृत्वका रूपमा सम्झिने गरिन्छ। उनको निधनले नेपालको पूँजी बजार, आर्थिक पत्रकारिता तथा प्रशासनिक क्षेत्रमा ठूलो क्षति पुगेको भन्दै सरोकारवालाहरूले श्रद्धाञ्जली व्यक्त गरेका छन् ।
Former Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Stock Exchange, Shankarman Singh, has passed away due to a sudden heart attack, according to family sources. Singh served as the CEO of NEPSE from 2007 to 2011 (B.S. 2064–2068), playing a significant role in expanding Nepal’s capital market and improving investor access to the stock market. After leaving NEPSE, he was appointed Executive Director of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Development Committee, where he contributed to the promotion of export-oriented industries and industrial development in Nepal. Singh was widely respected as a skilled administrator, economic analyst, and writer. He authored hundreds of analytical articles on economic, financial, and capital market issues in leading national newspapers. Known for his visionary leadership and clear perspectives, he also represented Nepal in various national and international economic forums. His sudden demise has created a major void in Nepal’s capital market, economic journalism, and administrative sectors, with experts and stakeholders remembering him as an institutional guide and influential figure in Nepal’s economic development.
