तासको आयातमा वृद्धि: आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो दुई महिनामा ६ करोड ११ लाखको तास आयातIncrease in Card Imports: 61 Million NPR Worth of Cards Imported in the First Two Months of the Fiscal Year
नेपालमा दसैं, तिहार लगायतका चाडपर्वमा तास खेल्न रुचाइन्छ, जसले गर्दा यो समयमा तासको माग पनि उच्च रहन्छ। भन्सार विभागको तथ्याङ्कले देखाएअनुसार, चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो दुई महिनामा मात्रै नेपालले ६ करोड ११ लाख ६४ हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको तास आयात गरेको छ।
पहिलो दुई महिनामा आयात: चालु आर्थिक वर्षको साउन र भदौ महिनामा ६ करोड ११ लाख ६४ हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको तास आयात भएको छ, जसबाट ३ करोड ५२ लाख ८५ हजार रुपैयाँ राजस्व संकलन भएको छ।
गत वर्षको तथ्याङ्क: गत वर्षको पहिलो दुई महिनामा (साउन र भदौ) ६ करोड ४४ लाख ८४ हजार रुपैयाँको तास आयात भएको थियो।
मुख्य आयात गर्ने मुलुकहरू: चीन र भारतबाट सबैभन्दा बढी तास आयात हुने गरेको छ। चालु आर्थिक वर्षको साउन र भदौमा मात्रै चीनबाट ५ करोड २१ लाख ३ हजार रुपैयाँको र भारतबाट ९० लाख ५७ हजार रुपैयाँको तास आयात भएको छ।
विगत वर्षहरूमा वृद्धि:
आर्थिक वर्ष ०८०/०८१ मा ३२ करोड १८ लाख ८७ हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको तास आयात भएको थियो।
आर्थिक वर्ष ०७९/०८० मा २१ करोड २७ लाख ९४ हजार रुपैयाँको तास आयात भएको थियो।
आर्थिक वर्ष ०७७/०७८ मा २८ करोड ६२ लाख ६४ हजार रुपैयाँको तास आयात भएको थियो।
अन्य मुलुकहरूबाट आयात: तासको आयात चीन र भारत मात्र होइन, अमेरिका, बेलायत, स्पेन, र ब्राजिल जस्ता मुलुकहरूबाट पनि हुने गरेको छ।
चाडपर्वमा तासको माग अत्यधिक हुने हुँदा नेपालमा तास आयातमा वृद्धि भएको देखिन्छ। यसले गर्दा विदेशी मुद्रा बाहिरिनुका साथै नेपालका लागि राजस्व संकलनको पनि स्रोत बनेको छ। समयसँगै नेपालमा आयात हुने तासको परिमाण र त्यसबाट संकलन हुने राजस्व दुवै वृद्धि हुँदै गएका छन्।
तास खेल्ने संस्कृतिको प्रभाव र त्यसले गर्ने राजस्व संकलनका कारण नेपालले विदेशी मुद्रा खर्च गर्नुपरेको छ, जुन आयातलाई अझै घटाउन स्वदेशमै उत्पादनको विकल्पसमेत खोज्नुपर्ने देखिन्छ।
In Nepal, playing cards is popular during festivals like Dashain and Tihar, which drives up demand during this time. According to the Customs Department's statistics, Nepal imported playing cards worth NPR 61.16 million in just the first two months of the current fiscal year.
Imports in the First Two Months: In the fiscal year’s first two months, July and August, cards worth NPR 61.16 million were imported, generating NPR 35.28 million in revenue.
Last Year’s Data: In the same period (July and August) last year, card imports totaled NPR 64.48 million.
Main Import Countries: Most card imports come from China and India. In the current fiscal year’s first two months alone, cards worth NPR 52.1 million were imported from China and NPR 9.06 million from India.
Growth Over the Past Years:
In fiscal year 2079/80, card imports totaled NPR 321.88 million.
In fiscal year 2078/79, imports were NPR 212.79 million.
In fiscal year 2077/78, imports were NPR 286.26 million.
Imports from Other Countries: Besides China and India, playing cards are also imported from countries like the USA, UK, Spain, and Brazil.
The high demand for playing cards during festivals is contributing to the increase in imports. This has resulted in both the outflow of foreign currency and a source of revenue for Nepal. Over time, both the quantity of imported cards and the revenue collected have shown a rising trend.
Due to the influence of the card-playing culture and the revenue collection it generates, Nepal has had to spend foreign currency on these imports. This indicates the need to explore local production alternatives to reduce reliance on imports.
