जीवन बीमा कम्पनीको व्यापार १२.६२ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि, ११ महिनामै १ खर्ब ७३ अर्ब संकलनLife insurers' business grows 12.62 percent, premium collection tops Rs 173 billion in 11 months

काठमाडौं — चालू आर्थिक वर्षको ११ महिनामा जीवन बीमा कम्पनीहरूको व्यापार उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढेको छ। साउनदेखि जेठ मसान्तसम्म सञ्चालनमा रहेका १४ वटा कम्पनीले कुल १ खर्ब ७३ अर्ब ५० करोड रुपैयाँबराबरको बीमाशुल्क संकलन गरेको नेपाल बीमा प्राधिकरणले जनाएको छ।

अघिल्लो आर्थिक वर्षको सोही अवधिमा यी कम्पनीको व्यापार १ खर्ब ५४ अर्ब रुपैयाँ थियो। यस वर्ष व्यापार बढेर पौने २ खर्बको हाराहारीमा पुगेको हो, जुन गत वर्षको तुलनामा १२.६२ प्रतिशत बढी हो। यस अवधिमा बजारमा रहेका सबै १४ वटै कम्पनीको व्यापार बढेको छ।

वृद्धिदरका हिसाबले आइएमई लाइफ सबैभन्दा अगाडि छ। आइएमईको व्यापार ३०.७९ प्रतिशतले बढेर ६ अर्ब १७ करोड पुगेको छ, जुन गत वर्ष ४ अर्ब ७२ करोड थियो। त्यस्तै सिटिजन लाइफको व्यापार २० प्रतिशतले बढेर ७ अर्ब ५९ करोड र रिलायबल लाइफको १८.७२ प्रतिशतले बढेर ५ अर्ब ४१ करोड पुगेको छ।

यसैगरी राष्ट्रिय जीवन बीमा कम्पनीको व्यापार १७.९३ प्रतिशत, नेशनल लाइफको १७.४९, प्रभु महालक्ष्मी लाइफको १४.८८, सानीमा रिलायन्स लाइफको १२.५६ र नेपाल लाइफको १२.५३ प्रतिशतले बढेको छ।

कुल कारोबारका आधारमा भने नेपाल लाइफ नै सबैभन्दा अघि छ। नेपाल लाइफले एक्लै ४६ अर्ब १६ करोड रुपैयाँको व्यापार गरेको छ। त्यसपछि नेशनल लाइफको २२ अर्ब २१ करोड, लाइफ इन्स्योरेन्स कर्पोरेशन (नेपाल)को १८ अर्ब ४८ करोड, हिमालयन लाइफको १५ अर्ब ७९ करोड, राष्ट्रिय जीवन बीमाको १० अर्ब ६२ करोड र सूर्यज्योति लाइफको १० अर्ब ५२ करोड रुपैयाँको व्यापार रहेको छ।

KATHMANDU — Nepal's life insurance industry posted notable growth in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. From the start of the year through the end of Jestha, the 14 companies in operation collected premiums worth Rs 173.5 billion, according to the Nepal Insurance Authority.

In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the figure stood at Rs 154 billion — making this a rise of 12.62 percent. Notably, every one of the 14 companies in the market recorded an increase in business over the year.

In terms of growth rate, IME Life led the pack. Its business expanded 30.79 percent to Rs 6.17 billion, up from Rs 4.72 billion a year earlier. Citizen Life followed with a 20 percent rise to Rs 7.59 billion, while Reliable Life grew 18.72 percent to Rs 5.41 billion.

Among the other insurers, Rastriya Jeevan Beema recorded growth of 17.93 percent, National Life 17.49 percent, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life 14.88 percent, Sanima Reliance Life 12.56 percent and Nepal Life 12.53 percent.

By sheer volume of business, however, Nepal Life remained well ahead of the field, collecting Rs 46.16 billion on its own. It was followed by National Life with Rs 22.21 billion, Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) with Rs 18.48 billion, Himalayan Life with Rs 15.79 billion, Rastriya Jeevan Beema with Rs 10.62 billion and Suryajyoti Life with Rs 10.52 billion.
