मौलाकाली केबलकार पुनः सञ्चालनको तयारी, प्राविधिक परीक्षण सफलMaulakalika Cable Car Set to Resume Operations After Successful Technical Testing
जेन्जी आन्दोलनका क्रममा तोडफोड र आगजनीबाट क्षति भएपछि बन्द भएको मौलाकाली केबलकार करिब दुई महिनापछि पुनः सञ्चालनको तयारीमा जुटेको छ। आइतबार साँझ सम्पन्न प्राविधिक परीक्षण सफल भएपछि कम्पनीले केबलकारलाई छिट्टै सर्वसाधारणका लागि खुला गर्ने तयारी गरेको जनाएको छ।
जेन्जी आन्दोलनमा भएको आगजनीले तल्लो स्टेशनका संरचना तथा उपकरणमा ठूलो क्षति पुगेको केबलकारका सञ्चालकहरूले बताएका छन्। नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासङ्घका अध्यक्ष तथा केबलकारका अध्यक्ष चन्द्रप्रसाद ढकालका अनुसार, दुर्घटनाबाट केबलकारलाई करोडौँ रुपैयाँ बराबरको नोक्सानी भएको छ।
समुद्री सतहबाट ५६१ मिटर उचाइमा अवस्थित मौलाकालिका मन्दिर धार्मिक आस्थासँगै प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्यका लागि पनि चर्चित गन्तव्य मानिन्छ। हिउँदमा यहाँबाट कुहिरोमाथिको सूर्योदय, तनहुँ–गोरखाका पहाड तथा हिमाली दृश्यावलोकन गर्न सकिने भएकाले पर्यटक आकर्षित हुने गरेको छ।
गत वर्ष वैशाखदेखि सञ्चालनमा आएको मौलाकाली केबलकार गैँडाकोट—१ मा अवस्थित मन्दिरसँग नारायणघाट बजारलाई जोड्ने महत्वपूर्ण पर्यटकीय संरचना हो। अब अन्तिम चरणका प्राविधिक परीक्षणपछि केबलकार पूर्ण क्षमतामा सञ्चालनमा आउने कम्पनीले जनाएको छ।
The Maulakalika Cable Car, which had been shut down for nearly two months following damage caused by vandalism and arson during the Jen-Z protest, is now preparing to resume operations. According to the company, the cable car will soon be reopened to the public after the successful completion of a technical test conducted on Sunday evening.
Operators of the cable car stated that the arson during the protest had caused significant damage to the lower station’s structures and equipment. According to Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Chairman of Maulakalika Cable Car, the incident resulted in losses worth several crores of rupees.
Located at an altitude of 561 meters above sea level, Maulakalika Temple is a popular religious and natural destination. During winter, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of sunrise above the fog, along with the scenic hills of Tanahun and Gorkha, as well as the Himalayan range, making the area a major attraction for tourists.
The Maulakalika Cable Car, which began operations last year in Baisakh, connects the temple in Gaindakot–1 with Narayanghat Bazaar, serving as an important tourism infrastructure. The company has stated that once the final phase of technical inspections is completed, the cable car will resume full-capacity operations.
