नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका नवनियुक्त गभर्नर डा. विश्वनाथ पौडेलले आज बिहान उपप्रधानमन्त्री एवं अर्थमन्त्री विष्णुप्रसाद पौडेलसँग भेट गरेका छन्। गभर्नर नियुक्तिपछि पहिलोपटक अर्थ मन्त्रालय पुगेका डा. पौडेललाई अर्थमन्त्रीले हार्दिक बधाइ दिँदै सफल कार्यकालको शुभकामना व्यक्त गरे।
भेटवार्ताका क्रममा अर्थमन्त्री पौडेलले वित्त नीति र मौद्रिक नीतिबीच सुदृढ समन्वय गरी अघि बढ्ने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्दै राष्ट्र बैंकले देखिएका आर्थिक तथा मौद्रिक समस्याको समाधानमा प्रभावकारी भूमिका खेल्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गरे। उनले नवनियुक्त गभर्नर पौडेलसँग नेपालको समग्र आर्थिक परिपाटी सुदृढ बनाउने विषयमा पनि छलफल गरेका थिए।
गभर्नर पौडेलले अर्थ मन्त्रालयले देशको आर्थिक नीतिको नेतृत्व गर्ने र राष्ट्र बैंकले मौद्रिक नीतिको माध्यमबाट सो नीति कार्यान्वयनमा सहयोग पुर्याउने स्पष्ट पारे। उनले वित्तीय क्षेत्रलाई थप प्रभावकारी बनाउन राष्ट्र बैंकको सुपरीवेक्षण प्रणालीलाई सशक्त बनाउने आफ्नो प्राथमिकता रहेको बताए।
कार्यक्रममा उद्योग, वाणिज्य तथा आपूर्तिमन्त्री दामोदर भण्डारी, अर्थ सचिव घनश्याम उपाध्याय, राजस्व सचिव दिनेशकुमार घिमिरेलगायत उच्च अधिकारीहरूले पनि डा. पौडेललाई बधाइ तथा शुभकामना दिएका थिए।
यस भेटवार्ताले आगामी दिनमा मौद्रिक र वित्तीय नीतिहरूबीच समन्वयात्मक साझेदारीमार्फत देशको आर्थिक सुधारको मार्गचित्र निर्माणमा टेवा पुग्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
Newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Bishnu Nath Paudel, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel this morning at the Ministry of Finance.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Paudel extended warm congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure. He expressed confidence that under Dr. Paudel’s leadership, the central bank would play a crucial role in addressing existing economic and monetary challenges by ensuring strong coordination between fiscal and monetary policies.
Governor Paudel emphasized that while the Ministry of Finance leads the nation’s fiscal direction, Nepal Rastra Bank supports its implementation through effective monetary policy. He highlighted that strengthening the supervisory capacity of the central bank will be a key focus during his term to enhance the efficiency of Nepal's financial sector.
The meeting was also attended by Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari, Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay, and Revenue Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire. They all congratulated Governor Paudel and wished him success in his new role.
The discussion marked a significant step toward fostering coordinated efforts between key economic institutions to steer Nepal’s economy toward stability and growth.
