      मन्त्रिपरिषद्को निर्णय: २ करोड ४२ लाख डलर अनुदान स्वीकार, युद्ध प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा रहेका नेपालीको उद्धारमा दूतावास परिचालन काठमाडौं । सरकारले २ करोड ४२ लाख ६७ हजार ४२७ अमेरिकी डलर बराबरको अनुदान सहायता स्वीकार गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। प्रधानमन्त्री निवास बालुवाटारमा आज बसेको मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले उक्त अनुदान स्वीकार गर्ने निर्णय गरेको हो। सरकारका अनुसार हरित जलवायु कोष (Green Climate Fund) बाट संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघीय विकास कार्यक्रम (UNDP) मार्फत प्राप्त हुने उक्त अनुदान नेपालका हिम नदी बेसिन क्षेत्रमा सञ्चालन हुने परियोजनाका लागि प्रयोग गरिनेछ। उक्त परियोजनामार्फत हिमताल विस्फोटनजन्य बाढी (GLOF) तथा बाढीबाट उत्पन्न जोखिम न्यूनीकरण गर्दै स्थानीय जनताको जीविकोपार्जन र सम्पत्तिको संरक्षण गर्ने लक्ष्य राखिएको छ।Cabinet Approves $24.27 Million Grant, Mobilizes Diplomatic Missions for Rescue of Nepalis in Conflict-Affected West Asia Kathmandu — The government has decided to accept a grant assistance of $24.27 million (approximately $24,267,427). The decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Sunday. According to the government, the grant will be provided through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The funding will be used for a project aimed at protecting livelihoods and property by reducing the risks posed by glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) and other flood-related disasters in Nepal’s Himalayan river basin areas.

The company has applied to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) seeking approval to issue 6.3 million shares at a price of Rs 200 per share. According to the proposal, the company plans to issue shares with a face value of Rs 100 along with a premium of Rs 100 per share. If approved, the company aims to raise a total of Rs 1.26 billion through the public offering. Himalayan Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO. Financial data shows that from fiscal year 2020/21 to mid-January of fiscal year 2025/26, the company has generated revenue exceeding Rs 15.63 billion. In the first six months of the current fiscal year alone, the company reported revenue of around Rs 2.57 billion.

The new prices came into effect from Sunday night, with petrol rising by Rs 15 per liter and diesel as well as kerosene increasing by Rs 10 per liter. According to the revised price list, petrol now costs Rs 172 per liter, while diesel and kerosene are priced at Rs 152 per liter. Previously, petrol was priced at Rs 157 per liter and diesel at Rs 142 per liter.

      काठमाडौं । सेयर बजारमा लगानीकर्ताले बैंकबाट लिने मार्जिन प्रकृतिको कर्जा माघ महिनामा मात्रै तीन अर्ब ३३ करोड २० लाख रुपैयाँले बढेको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको तथ्यांक अनुसार पुस मसान्तसम्म एक खर्ब ५२ अर्ब ८२ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेको यस्तो कर्जा माघ मसान्तसम्ममा बढेर एक खर्ब ५६ अर्ब १५ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। चालु आर्थिक वर्षको सात महिनामा भने सेयर धितो कर्जा कुल १५ अर्ब ४५ करोड रुपैयाँले बढेको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकले असोज २२ गते मार्जिन कर्जामा रहेको २५ करोड रुपैयाँको सीमा हटाएपछि यस्तो कर्जा विस्तार हुँदै गएको देखिएको छ।Kathmandu – Margin loans taken from banks for share investment increased by NPR 3.33 billion in the month of Magh. Data from the Nepal Rastra Bank shows that the outstanding margin lending rose from NPR 152.82 billion in Poush to NPR 156.15 billion by the end of Magh. In the first seven months of the current fiscal year, margin-based share loans have increased by NPR 15.45 billion. The growth in lending has accelerated after the Nepal Rastra Bank removed the NPR 250 million cap on individual margin loans on October 22.

      साताको पहिलो कारोबार दिन नेप्से परिसूचक सामान्य बढेको छ। आइतबार नेप्से ४.४५ अंक बढेर २८२४.९० विन्दुमा पुगेको छ। कारोबार रकम भने १४ अर्ब ३२ करोड रुपैयाँ नाघेको छ। सोलु हाइड्रोपावर र साल्पा विकास बैंकको शेयर सकारात्मक सर्किटमा कारोबार भए। होटल फरेष्ट इन र ग्रीनलाइफ हाइड्रोपावरको शेयर मूल्य उल्लेखनीय बढ्यो भने दरमखोला हाइड्रो इनर्जीको शेयर मूल्य १० प्रतिशतले घट्यो। घलेम्दी हाइड्रोपावर, रिडी पावर र नेशनल हाइड्रोपावर कम्पनी कारोबारमा शीर्ष रहे। १३ उपसमूहमध्ये ९ को परिसूचक बढेको छ भने ४ को घटेको छ।On the first trading day of the week, the NEPSE index rose slightly by 4.45 points to reach 2,824.90. Trading volume was NPR 1.432 billion. Solu Hydropower and Salpa Bikash Bank traded at the positive circuit limit. Hotel Forest Inn and Greenlife Hydropower saw notable gains, while Darmakhola Hydro Energy dropped 10%. GhaleMdi Hydropower, Ridi Power, and National Hydropower led in trading value. Out of 13 sub-indices, 9 increased and 4 declined.

Currently, trading at the Nepal Stock Exchange operates from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but the board has started internal preparations to open the market from 10:00 AM. According to a board official, consensus to extend the trading hours has already been reached in a meeting of the board. However, the final decision is expected to be taken after the formation of the new government. Extending the trading hours is expected to provide investors with more time for transactions and help make market activities more dynamic.

      काठमाडौं – चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ का आठ महिनामा सरकारले बजेटको आधाभन्दा कम खर्च गरेको छ। फागुनसम्म ९ खर्ब २६ अर्ब मात्र खर्च भएको छ, जसमा चालु खर्च ५४ प्रतिशत भए पनि पुँजीगत खर्च १९ प्रतिशतमात्र सीमित रह्यो। राजस्व संकलनमा सुधार आए पनि आठ महिनामा ७ खर्ब ४७ अर्ब मात्र संकलन भएको छ। बजेट घाटा १ खर्ब ६१ अर्ब नाघेको छ। कमजोर पुँजीगत खर्चले सडक, पुल, अस्पताल र विद्यालय निर्माणजस्ता दीर्घकालीन परियोजनामा ढिलाइ गराएको छ। सरकारले दोस्रो अर्धवार्षिकमा खर्च तीव्र हुने आशा गरेको छ। Kathmandu – In the first eight months of fiscal year 2082/83, the government spent less than half of its allocated budget. By the end of Falgun, only NPR 926 billion was spent, with recurrent expenditure at 54% and capital expenditure lagging at 19%. Revenue collection showed some improvement, reaching NPR 747 billion in eight months, but the budget deficit exceeded NPR 161 billion. Slow capital spending has delayed long-term projects such as roads, bridges, hospitals, and schools. The government hopes spending will accelerate in the second half of the fiscal year.

      काठमाडौं। चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को पहिलो ८ महिनामा सरकारले कुल राजस्व लक्ष्यको मात्र ५० प्रतिशत संकलन गरेको छ। यस अवधिमा कर राजस्व ६ खर्ब ७६ अर्ब र गैरकर राजस्व ७० अर्ब रुपैयाँ संकलन भएको छ। सरकारको कुल खर्च ९ खर्ब २६ अर्ब पुगेको छ भने बजेट घाटा २ खर्ब ७९ अर्ब रुपैयाँ छ। विकास निर्माणका लागि खर्च भने वार्षिक लक्ष्यको २० प्रतिशतभन्दा कम मात्र भएको छ।Kathmandu: In the first eight months of fiscal year 2082/83, the government has collected only 50% of its total revenue target. Tax revenue reached NPR 676 billion and non-tax revenue NPR 70 billion. Total government expenditure stood at NPR 926 billion, resulting in a budget deficit of NPR 279 billion. Capital expenditure for development projects was less than 20% of the annual target.

The auction will be held today, Chaitra 1, at 3 PM. Only banks and financial institutions under categories ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ are eligible to participate. Principal and interest payments will be made on Chaitra 29.

      वाणिज्य बैंकहरूले चैत २०८२ का लागि नयाँ ब्याजदर सार्वजनिक गरेका छन्। फागुन महिनामा ४.५६ प्रतिशत रहेको व्यक्तिगत मुद्दति निक्षेपको अधिकतम औसत ब्याजदर चैतमा घटेर ४.४९ प्रतिशतमा पुगेको छ, जुन ०.०७ प्रतिशत बिन्दुले कमी हो। २० वाणिज्य बैंकमध्ये ६ बैंकले ब्याजदर घटाएका छन् भने १४ बैंकले अघिल्लो महिनाकै दरलाई निरन्तरता दिएका छन्। सबैभन्दा बढी ब्याजदर घटाउने बैंक नेपाल बैंक रहेको छ।Commercial banks in Nepal have published new interest rates for Chaitra 2082. The maximum average interest rate on individual fixed deposits has decreased from 4.56 percent in Falgun to 4.49 percent in Chaitra, a decline of 0.07 percentage points. Among the 20 commercial banks, six banks have reduced their interest rates while 14 banks have maintained the previous month’s rate. Nepal Bank has reduced the interest rate the most.

      बेनी हाइड्रोपावर प्रोजेक्ट लिमिटेडले आज चैत १ गतेदेखि आयोजना प्रभावित क्षेत्रका स्थानीय बासिन्दा तथा वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा रहेका नेपालीहरूका लागि आईपीओ निष्काशन खुला गरेको छ। कम्पनीले २० लाख ८० हजार कित्ता शेयर निष्काशन गर्न अनुमति पाएकोमध्ये १० लाख ४० हजार कित्ता स्थानीय बासिन्दाका लागि र १ लाख ४ हजार कित्ता विदेशमा काम गरिरहेका नेपालीहरूका लागि छुट्याइएको छ। आईपीओमा न्यूनतम १० कित्ता र अधिकतम १० हजार कित्तासम्म आवेदन दिन सकिनेछ। कम्पनीले सञ्चालन गरेको १९.८ मेगावाट क्षमताको माथिल्लो सोलुखोला जलविद्युत आयोजनाको अनुमानित लागत करिब ३ अर्ब ८५ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। यस आईपीओको बिक्री प्रबन्धक NMB Capital Limited रहेको छ।Beni Hydropower Project Limited has opened its IPO from Chaitra 1 for residents of the project-affected areas and Nepali citizens working abroad. The company has approval to issue 2.08 million shares, of which 1.04 million shares are allocated to local residents and 104,000 shares are reserved for Nepalis working abroad. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares. The company is developing the 19.8 MW Upper Solukhola Hydropower Project with an estimated cost of around NPR 3.85 billion. The IPO issue manager is NMB Capital Limited.

      काठमाडौं । आर्थिक गतिविधिमा आएको सुस्तताका कारण बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थामा गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति (एनबीए) तथा कर्जा अपलेखन बढ्दै गएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को माघ मसान्तसम्म बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाको कुल गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति ५१ अर्ब २० करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जुन चालु आवको सात महिनामा करिब ६५ करोडले बढेको हो। यसै अवधिमा कर्जा अपलेखन पनि बढेर कुल ९ अर्ब ८६ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। अर्थतन्त्र सुस्त हुँदा ऋणीहरूले कर्जा तिर्न नसक्ने अवस्था बढेपछि बैंकहरूले धितो सकार गर्ने तथा कर्जा अपलेखन गर्ने प्रक्रिया तीव्र बनाएका छन्। गैर–बैंकिङ सम्पत्ति बढ्दा बैंकहरूको नाफा र लाभांशमा समेत प्रभाव पर्ने देखिएको छ। समस्या समाधानका लागि सरकारले सम्पत्ति व्यवस्थापन कम्पनी (एसेट म्यानेजमेन्ट कम्पनी) स्थापना गर्ने तयारी अघि बढाएको छ।Kathmandu – Non-banking assets (NBA) and loan write-offs in Nepal’s banks and financial institutions have been increasing due to the slowdown in economic activities. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the total non-banking assets of banks and financial institutions reached NPR 51.20 billion by mid-February of the current fiscal year. During the first seven months of the fiscal year, these assets increased by around NPR 650 million, while total loan write-offs rose to NPR 9.86 billion. The slowdown in the economy has reduced borrowers’ repayment capacity, forcing banks to acquire collateral and write off more bad loans. Rising non-banking assets may also affect banks’ profitability and shareholder dividends. To address the issue, the government is preparing to establish an Asset Management Company (AMC) to help manage non-performing loans and distressed assets.

      काठमाडौं । चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को पहिलो सात महिनामा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले मौद्रिक व्यवस्थापनका उपकरणमार्फत ठूलो परिमाणमा तरलता प्रशोचन गरेको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार समीक्षा अवधिमा कुल ३१५ खर्ब ८६ अर्ब ८५ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको खुद तरलता बैंकिङ प्रणालीबाट प्रशोचन गरिएको हो, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढी हो। यस अवधिमा विदेशी विनिमय बजारबाट ३ अर्ब ९६ करोड अमेरिकी डलर खरिद गरी ५ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी तरलता प्रवाह गरिएको छ भने अन्तरबैंक कारोबारमा भने गिरावट देखिएको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकका तथ्याङ्कअनुसार बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाबीच भएको अन्तरबैंक कारोबार अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा घटेको छ। Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has absorbed a large amount of liquidity from the banking system during the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2025/26 (FY 2082/83). According to the central bank, a net liquidity absorption of NPR 315.86 trillion was carried out through various monetary management instruments, significantly higher than in the same period last year. During the period, NRB also purchased USD 3.96 billion from the foreign exchange market, injecting over NPR 564 billion into the system. However, interbank transactions among banks and financial institutions declined compared to the previous year.

      फागुन २९ गते शुक्रबार नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदीको मूल्य घटेको छ। नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघका अनुसार छापावाल सुन प्रतितोला २ हजार ८०० रुपैयाँले घटेर ३ लाख १४ हजार २०० रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भइरहेको छ। त्यस्तै चाँदी पनि प्रतितोला २० रुपैयाँले घटेर ५ हजार ४९५ रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भइरहेको छ ।Gold and silver prices declined in the Nepali market on Friday, Falgun 29. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold fell by Rs. 2,800 per tola to Rs. 314,200. Similarly, silver also dropped by Rs. 20 per tola and is currently trading at Rs. 5,495 per tola.
