माघ २१ गते, बुधबार, नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदीको मूल्य उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढेको छ। सुन प्रतितोला १४ हजार ४०० रुपैयाँले बढेर ३ लाख ४ हजार ७०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघका अनुसार चाँदीको मूल्य पनि तोलामा २६५ रुपैयाँले बढेर ५ हजार ६०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजार र स्थानीय मागका कारण मूल्य वृद्धि भएको बताइएको छ।On Wednesday, Magh 21, gold and silver prices in Nepal increased significantly. According to data published by Nepal Rastra Bank for the first six months of fiscal year 2082/83, share-backed loans ranging from NPR 2.5 million to NPR 10 million have recorded the highest growth rates. The central bank’s statistics show that loans between NPR 5 million and NPR 10 million increased by 12.8 percent, loans between NPR 2.5 million and NPR 5 million rose by 10.3 percent, and loans below NPR 2.5 million grew by 7.9 percent. This trend indicates growing interest and involvement of small and medium investors in the capital market.

मंगलबार नेप्से परिसूचक १२.५८ अंकले घटेर २६८३.१५ विन्दुमा बन्द भएको छ। परिसूचक घटे पनि कारोबार रकम भने बढेर ८ अर्ब ६३ करोड रुपैयाँ नाघेको छ। कालिञ्चोक दर्शन लिमिटेड सकारात्मक सर्किटमा कारोबार हुँदा होटल तथा पर्यटन र म्युचुअल फण्ड उपसमूह बढेका छन्। १३ उपसमूहमध्ये ३ बढे र १० घटे, जसमा वित्त उपसमूह सर्वाधिक घटेको छ।The NEPSE index declined by 12.58 points to close at 2,683.15 on Tuesday. Despite the fall, total turnover increased to over NPR 8.63 billion. Kalinchok Darshan Limited hit the positive circuit, while the Hotels and Tourism and Mutual Fund sub-indices gained. Out of 13 sub-indices, three advanced and ten declined, with the Finance sub-index posting the biggest loss.

निजी क्षेत्रतर्फ कर्जा विस्तार सुस्त, दोस्रो त्रैमासमा अपेक्षित गति नआएको संकेत काठमाडौँ— चालु आर्थिक वर्षको दोस्रो त्रैमासमा बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाबाट निजी क्षेत्रतर्फ प्रवाहित कर्जामा अपेक्षित वृद्धि हुन सकेको छैन। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक का अनुसार चालु आवको पुस मसान्तसम्म निजी क्षेत्रमा प्रवाहित कर्जा ३.६ प्रतिशत अर्थात् १ खर्ब ९७ अर्ब ४७ करोड रुपैयाँले बढेर ५६ खर्ब ९५ अर्ब १७ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। अघिल्लो वर्षको सोही अवधिसँग तुलना गर्दा कर्जा विस्तारको गति सुस्त देखिएको हो। कर्जा प्रवाहको संरचना हेर्दा वाणिज्य बैंकहरूको कर्जा ३.७ प्रतिशतले बढेको छ भने विकास बैंकको कर्जा २.९ प्रतिशत र वित्त कम्पनीहरूको कर्जा प्रवाह १.२ प्रतिशतले मात्र वृद्धि भएको छ। यसले बैंकिङ प्रणालीमा तरलता उपलब्ध भए पनि निजी क्षेत्रको कर्जा माग अझै कमजोर रहेको संकेत गर्छ। धितोको आधारमा हेर्दा पुस मसान्तमा बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूको कुल कर्जामध्ये चालु सम्पत्ति (कृषि तथा गैरकृषिजन्य वस्तु) धितोमा आधारित कर्जाको हिस्सा १५ प्रतिशत पुगेको छ। घरजग्गा धितोमा प्रवाहित कर्जाको हिस्सा ६३.९ प्रतिशत रहेको छ। २०८१ पुस मसान्तमा यस्ता धितोमा आधारित कर्जाको अंश क्रमशः १४.५ प्रतिशत र ६४.९ प्रतिशत रहेको थियो, जसले घरजग्गा धितोमा आधारित कर्जा अझै प्रमुख रूपमा रहेको देखाउँछ।Private Sector Credit Growth Remains Sluggish in Second Quarter Kathmandu — Credit flow from banks and financial institutions to Nepal’s private sector has failed to gain the expected momentum in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, indicating continued weakness in domestic economic activity. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, private sector credit increased by only 3.6 percent by mid-January (Poush-end), equivalent to NPR 197.47 billion, reaching a total of NPR 5,695.17 billion. The data show that credit expansion has remained modest across all categories of banks. By mid-January, lending by commercial banks increased by 3.7 percent, while development banks recorded a 2.9 percent rise and finance companies posted a marginal growth of 1.2 percent. Despite ample liquidity in the banking system, the slow pace of lending suggests that private sector demand for credit remains weak. In terms of collateral structure, loans backed by current assets (both agricultural and non-agricultural goods) accounted for 15 percent of total outstanding credit at mid-January. Loans secured by real estate continued to dominate, comprising 63.9 percent of total credit. A year earlier, these shares stood at 14.5 percent and 64.9 percent respectively, indicating only a marginal shift away from real-estate-backed lending.

According to the company, the AGM process had faced multiple disruptions. The meeting originally scheduled for December 28, 2025 (Poush 28, 2082) was postponed due to the lack of a quorum. A rescheduled meeting on January 8, 2026 (Magh 8, 2082) was again suspended before commencement following what the company described as unruly and inappropriate behavior by a group of shareholders. According to the project, the decision was taken during a recent meeting of the Compensation Determination Committee chaired by the Chief District Officer, based on damages incurred during construction activities in areas including Lokpa, Dharapani, Dhoklak, Bulsat, and Jhaputar. Based on a field inspection report submitted by the committee, compensation has also been fixed for orange trees damaged during the construction of a retaining wall for a transmission tower under the Damauli–Bharatpur transmission line in Byas Municipality–14, Sodhe. In addition, the meeting addressed compensation-related demands raised by informal land users and unmanaged settlers residing within the reservoir and buffer zone areas of the project.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, consumer inflation had reached 5.41 percent in mid-January of the previous year, indicating that overall price stability has improved significantly over the past twelve months. A key driver behind the easing inflation has been the decline in food prices. During the review month, inflation in the food and beverage group turned marginally negative at –0.09 percent, a notable reversal from the 7.67 percent increase recorded a year earlier. This decline suggests improved supply conditions and weaker demand-side pressures in essential commodities. In contrast, non-food and services inflation remained relatively elevated at 3.81 percent, though still lower than the 4.19 percent recorded in the same period last year.
