स्ट्याण्डर्ड चार्टर्ड बैंक नेपाल लिमिटेडले प्रस्तावित लाभांश सुरक्षित गर्न आज मंसिर १५ गतेलाई अन्तिम दिन निर्धारण गरेको छ। बैंकले भोलि मंसिर १६ गतेदेखि बुक–क्लोज गर्ने तयारी गरेसँगै आजसम्म शेयर किनेका वा नामसारी भइसकेका शेयरधनीले मात्र आगामी साधारण सभा र लाभांश प्राप्त गर्ने अधिकार सुरक्षित राख्न सक्नेछन्।
बैंकले आगामी ३९औँ वार्षिक साधारण सभा का लागि तयारी थालिसकेको छ। सभाका लागि मंसिर २९ गते, सोमबारलाई निर्धारण गरिएको छ। काठमाडौँ भद्रकालीस्थित आर्मी अफिसर्स क्लबमा आयोजना हुने सभा बिहान १० बजे सुरु हुने बैंकले जानकारी दिएको छ। यसअघि लाभांश प्रयोजनका लागि नेप्सेमा शेयर कायम गर्ने म्याद नजिकिँदै गर्दा लगानीकर्ताहरूको ध्यान बुक–क्लोज मितिमै केन्द्रित भएको छ।
आजसम्म नेप्सेमा कारोबार भई कायम शेयरधनीले साधारण सभामा सहभागी हुन पाउनेछन्। साथै, बैंकले प्रस्ताव गरेको नगद लाभांश प्राप्त गर्ने अधिकार पनि यिनै शेयरधनीले सुरक्षित गर्न सक्नेछन्।
बुक–क्लोज अवधिमा कारोबार गरी शेयर खरिद गर्नेले भने यस वर्षको लाभांश प्राप्त गर्न सक्दैनन्।
आगामी साधारण सभाले बैंकको हाल कायम चुक्ता पूँजीमा आधारित रहँदै १९ प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश (करसहित) वितरण गर्ने प्रस्ताव पारित गर्नेछ। बैंकले लाभांशलाई पूर्णतः नगद रूपमै प्रस्ताव गरेको छ, जसले लगानीकर्ताहरूको नकद प्रवाहमा सकारात्मक प्रभाव पार्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
यस्तै, सभामा बैंकको प्रबन्धपत्र तथा नियमावली संशोधन, लेखापरीक्षकको नियुक्ति, र आवश्यकता अनुसार निर्णय गर्ने अधिकार संचालक समितिलाई प्रदान गर्ने प्रस्तावहरू पनि पेस गरिनेछन्। बैंकले जारी गरेको सूचनामा संस्थागत सुशासन, पारदर्शिता र दिगो व्यवस्थापनमा निरन्तर प्रतिबद्धता कायम रहने उल्लेख गरेको छ।
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited has set today, Mangsir 15, as the final day for shareholders to secure the right to the bank’s proposed dividend. With the bank preparing to begin its book closure from tomorrow, Mangsir 16, only those shareholders whose names are recorded in NEPSE by the end of today will be eligible to attend the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) and receive the proposed dividend.
The bank has already initiated preparations for its 39th Annual General Meeting, scheduled for Mangsir 29 (Monday). The meeting will take place at the Army Officers Club, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu, starting at 10 AM. As the book closure date approaches, investors have shifted their focus toward securing their dividend rights before the deadline.
Shareholders who complete their transactions and have their names listed in NEPSE by today will retain their rights to participate in the AGM and receive the proposed dividend. Those who purchase the bank’s shares after the book closure begins tomorrow will not be eligible for this year’s dividend distribution.
The AGM will endorse the bank’s proposal to distribute a 19 percent cash dividend (tax included) based on its current paid-up capital. The proposal includes only cash dividends this year—an announcement that is expected to positively impact investor liquidity and sentiment.
Additionally, the AGM will discuss several key resolutions, including amendments to the bank’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, appointment of an auditor, and granting necessary authority to the Board of Directors to carry out decisions as required. In its official notice, the bank reaffirmed its commitment to strong corporate governance, transparency, and long-term institutional stability.
