डब्ल्युटीओको व्यापार तथा वातावरण समितिको अध्यक्षमा नेपाल चयन नेपाल विश्व व्यापार सङ्गठन (डब्ल्युटीओ) अन्तर्गतको व्यापार तथा वातावरण समितिको अध्यक्षमा चयन भएको छ। संयुक्त राष्ट्रसङ्घ तथा अन्य अन्तरराष्ट्रिय सङ्घसङ्गठनका लागि जेनेभास्थित नेपालको स्थायी नियोगका अनुसार फागुन २७ गते बसेको महासभा बैठकले नेपाललाई एक वर्षे कार्यकालका लागि सर्वसम्मत रूपमा समितिको अध्यक्ष चयन गरेको हो। डब्ल्युटीओअन्तर्गतको यो समिति सदस्य राष्ट्रहरूबीच व्यापार नीतिले वातावरणमा पार्ने प्रभाव तथा वातावरणीय नीतिले अन्तरराष्ट्रिय व्यापारमा पार्ने प्रभाव सम्बन्धी विषयमा छलफल तथा समन्वय गर्ने महत्वपूर्ण मञ्च हो। यस समितिले विशेषगरी जलवायु परिवर्तन, दिगो विकास र वातावरणमैत्री व्यापार नीतिसम्बन्धी विषयमा सदस्य राष्ट्रहरूबीच सहकार्य बढाउने काम गर्दै आएको छ।Nepal Elected Chair of WTO Committee on Trade and Environment Nepal has been elected as the Chair of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Trade and Environment. रघुगंगा गाउँपालिका-७, म्याग्दीमा २२.५ मेगावाट क्षमताको माथिल्लो ठूलोखोला जलविद्युत् आयोजना निर्माण सम्पन्न भएको छ। ठूलोखोला हाइड्रोपावर लिमिटेडले प्रवर्द्धन गरेको यो आयोजना भौतिक संरचना, विद्युतगृह उपकरण जडान र प्रसारणलाइन निर्माण सम्पन्न गरेको छ। विसं २०७८ मा निर्माण सुरु गरिएको यो आयोजना ‘रन अफ द रिभर’ प्रकारको हो, जसले १३२ केभी प्रसारणलाइनमार्फत केन्द्रीय विद्युत प्रणालीसँग जोडिएको छ। आयोजनाको लागत तीन अर्ब रुपैयाँ रहेको छ, जसमा सिटिजन्स र माछापुच्छ्रे बैंकहरूले लगानी गरेका छन्। राहुघाट क्षेत्रमा विभिन्न जलविद्युत् आयोजना सञ्चालनमा रहेका छन् र ४० मेगावाट क्षमताको राहुघाट जलविद्युत् आयोजना अन्तिम चरणमा छ। The Upper Thulokhola Hydroelectric Project, with a capacity of 22.5 MW, has been completed in Raghu Ganga Municipality-7, Myagdi. The project, developed by Thulokhola Hydropower Limited, has successfully completed its physical structure, equipment installation at the powerhouse, and transmission line construction. The project, which began construction in 2078 BS, is located in a remote area. The project is a "Run of the River" type, with a 132 kV transmission line connecting it to the central grid. The estimated cost of the project is three billion rupees, with funding from Citizens and Machhapuchchhre Banks. Several hydropower projects in the Rahughhat area, including the 21.3 MW Thulokhola Hydroelectric Project, are already operational, and the 40 MW Rahughgat Hydroelectric Project is in its final stage.

The project, named 'Nepal Clean Air and Prosperity Project', focuses on reducing harmful emissions from industrial and commercial boilers and furnaces. The initiative will target areas with high air pollution risk, including Kathmandu Valley, Terai, and hilly regions. This project will help reduce the economic burden of air pollution, which costs over 6% of Nepal's GDP. Additionally, it will provide concessional loans and technical support to industries, reducing operational costs and improving competitiveness. The project is part of a regional air quality management program for the Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayan foothills.

नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले आगामी फागुन २७ गते २८ दिनका लागि ३० अर्ब रुपैयाँ बराबरको निक्षेप सङ्कलन उपकरणको बोलकबोल गर्ने भएको छ। बोलकबोल अनलाइन बिडिङ सिस्टम (OBSS) मार्फत दिउँसो ३ बजेसम्म हुनेछ र ब्याजदर बोलकबोलको माध्यमबाट निर्धारण हुनेछ। भुक्तानी २०८२ चैत २५ गते हुनेछ। लगानीकर्ताले १० करोड रुपैयाँदेखि ५ करोड रुपैयाँसम्म बोलकबोल गर्न सक्नेछन्। सङ्कलित निक्षेपलाई अन्य बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थामा धितोको रूपमा प्रयोग गर्न सकिने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ। केवल नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकबाट स्वीकृत बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाले मात्र यसमा भाग लिन सक्नेछन्। बोलकबोलको परिणाममा सबैभन्दा कम ब्याजदरलाई प्राथमिकता दिइनेछ र बाँकी रकम प्रोराटा बेसिसमा बाँडफाँड गरिनेछ। बोलपत्र स्वीकृत भएका रकम सम्बन्धित काउन्टर पार्टीको खाताबाट खर्च गरी लिनेछ। यदि खातामा पर्याप्त मौज्दात नभएमा काउण्टर पार्टीलाई कालोसूचीमा राखी पछिल्ला बोलकबोलमा भाग लिन बन्देज लगाइनेछ। Nepal Rastra Bank is conducting an auction for a deposit collection instrument worth NPR 30 billion for a duration of 28 days, starting on February 27, 2026. The auction will be held through an online bidding system (OBSS) until 3:00 PM on the same day. The interest rate will be determined through the bidding process, and the payment will be made on March 25, 2026. Investors can bid for amounts ranging from NPR 10 million to NPR 50 million. The collected deposits can be used as collateral in other banks and financial institutions. Only approved banks and financial institutions are eligible to participate. The bids will be prioritized based on the lowest interest rate, and the remaining funds will be allocated on a pro-rata basis. The auction results will be processed by deducting the amounts from the respective accounts and depositing them into a separate account. Participants with insufficient funds at the time of issuance will be blacklisted. The approval was given on 25th Falgun 2079. As per SEBON’s approval, Kalanga Hydro Limited will issue 4.9 million shares worth NPR 49 crore. The company will offer the IPO at a price of NPR 100 per share. The sales manager for this IPO will be Sanima Capital Limited. Kalanga Hydro has been generating commercial production since Magh 2079 with a 15.33 MW Kalanga Hydroelectric Project in Bajhang district. The company’s chairman is Khageshwar Bohora, with other directors including Umesh Shrestha, Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, Shivprasad Ghimire, and Tirtharaj Chataut. The company secretary is Pradip Kumar Dahal.
