नेपालबाट वैदेशिक शिक्षाका नाममा ठूलो रकम बाहिरिएको तथ्यांक सार्वजनिक भएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक का अनुसार चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को सात महिनामा मात्रै ६४ अर्ब १५ करोड रुपैयाँ विदेशिएको छ। सेवा खाताअन्तर्गत भ्रमण व्यय बढ्दै जाँदा खुद सेवा आय ५० अर्ब २२ करोड रुपैयाँ घाटामा पुगेको छ। उच्च शिक्षा, रोजगारीको अवसर र राम्रो भविष्यको खोजीमा नेपाली विद्यार्थीहरू विदेश जाने क्रम तीव्र बन्दै गएको छ, जसले देशबाट ठूलो रकमसँगै दक्ष युवा जनशक्ति पनि बाहिरिँदै गएको देखिएको छ।According to Nepal Rastra Bank, a large amount of money has gone abroad in the name of foreign education. In the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, around Rs. 64.15 billion has been spent by Nepali students overseas. Rising travel expenses under the service account have pushed the net service income into a deficit of Rs. 50.22 billion. The number of Nepali students going abroad for higher studies is increasing rapidly in search of better education and job opportunities, resulting in both a significant outflow of money and skilled youth from the country.
