The measure, valid until April 11, aims to stabilize the global energy market. Oil prices surged above $100 per barrel after attacks on ships in the Gulf and threats to block the Strait of Hormuz. To ease supply pressure, the International Energy Agency plans to release 400 million barrels of oil, while several Asian countries have introduced fuel-saving and price control measures.
