नेपाल कर छलीविरुद्धको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय अभियानमा सहभागी हुँदै Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes को १७३ औँ सदस्य बनेको छ। यससँगै नेपाल २४ औँ एसियाली देशका रूपमा फोरममा आबद्ध भएको हो। फोरमका अध्यक्ष Gaël Perraud ले नेपाललाई स्वागत गर्दै यसले कर पारदर्शिता र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सहकार्यलाई थप बलियो बनाउने बताएका छन्। अर्थमन्त्री Rameshwar Prasad Khanal ले पनि यस सदस्यताले कर प्रशासन सुदृढ बनाउने, कर छली नियन्त्रण गर्ने र आन्तरिक स्रोत परिचालनमा सहयोग पुग्ने बताएका छन्।Nepal has joined the global fight against tax evasion by becoming the 173rd member of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes. Nepal is now the 24th Asian country to join the forum. Welcoming the move, forum chair Gaël Perraud said Nepal’s decision will strengthen global cooperation against tax evasion. Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal stated that the membership will help improve tax administration, promote transparency, and support domestic resource mobilization.

यूनाइटेड अजोड इन्स्योरेन्स लिमिटेड (UAIL) ले चैत २६ गतेदेखि १० प्रतिशत हकप्रद शेयर निष्काशन खुला गर्ने भएको छ। कम्पनीले १०० कित्ता बराबर १० कित्ता अनुपातमा २३ लाख १० हजार कित्ता हकप्रद शेयर जारी गर्नेछ, जसको अंकित मूल्य प्रतिकित्ता १०० रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। फागुन १४ गतेसम्म कायम शेयरधनीहरूले वैशाख १६ गतेसम्म आवेदन दिन सक्नेछन्। हकप्रद निष्काशनपछि कम्पनीको चुक्ता पूँजी २ अर्ब ३१ करोड रुपैयाँबाट बढेर २ अर्ब ५४ करोड १० लाख रुपैयाँ पुग्नेछ।United Ajod Insurance Limited (UAIL) will open its 10 percent rights share issue from March 26. The company will issue 2.31 million rights shares in the ratio of 10 shares for every 100 shares held, at a face value of Rs 100 per share. Shareholders who held shares until Falgun 14 can apply for the rights issue until April 28. After the issuance, the company’s paid-up capital will increase from Rs 2.31 billion to Rs 2.541 billion.

नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणले आगामी बर्खायाम (असार–साउन) मा करिब ५०० मेगावाट अतिरिक्त बिजुली भारतीय बजारमा बिक्री गर्न अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बोलपत्र आह्वान गरेको छ। प्राधिकरणका अनुसार, नदीनालामा पानीको बहाव बढ्दा जलविद्युत् आयोजनाहरु पूर्ण क्षमतामा सञ्चालन हुने भएकाले स्वदेशी माग पूरा भएपछि बाँकी बिजुली निर्यात गर्न सकिनेछ। बोलपत्र पेश गर्ने म्याद आगामी चैत मसान्तसम्म राखिएको छ।Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has invited international bids to sell about 500 MW of surplus electricity during the upcoming monsoon season (Asar–Shrawan) to the Indian market. The authority stated that hydropower plants will operate at full capacity during this period, allowing the export of excess electricity after domestic demand is met. काठमाडौं। चालु आर्थिक वर्षको आठ महिनामा सरकारले सेयर बजारबाट करिब साढे ६ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुँजीगत लाभकर संकलन गरेको छ। साउनमा उच्च संकलन भएको भए पनि पछिल्ला महिनामा कर संकलन घटेको छ। फागुनमा मात्र ५५ करोड रुपैयाँ संकलन भएको छ। संकलनको ठूलो हिस्सा अल्पकालीन व्यक्तिगत लगानीकर्ताबाट आएको छ भने दीर्घकालीन र संस्थागत सहभागिता कमजोर देखिएको छ। बजारको उतारचढावले कर संकलनमा प्रत्यक्ष असर पारिरहेको छ।Kathmandu: The government has collected over NPR 644.1 million in capital gains tax from the stock market during the first eight months of the current fiscal year. While there are some recovery challenges in Nepal Airlines Corporation, management is underway under government guarantee.

The war has already driven up food and fuel prices and could push an additional 45 million people into hunger if it continues and oil prices exceed $100 per barrel. The WFP highlighted that vulnerable populations will be most affected. Relief operations are already under strain due to rising fuel and transportation costs, reduced international aid, and disrupted supply chains. Countries far from the conflict, such as Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, and Afghanistan, are also experiencing worsening food insecurity, with millions unable to receive adequate aid. The WFP has appealed for an additional $77 million to support emergency food assistance over the next three months.

काठमाडौं । नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक ले बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूका लागि निर्देशित कर्जाको सीमा ४० प्रतिशतबाट घटाएर ३० प्रतिशत कायम गरेको छ। कृषि क्षेत्रमा कर्जा प्रवाहको सीमा १५ प्रतिशतबाट घटाएर १० प्रतिशत बनाइएको छ भने ऊर्जा, पर्यटन, सूचना प्रविधि, एमएसएमई र स्वदेशी कच्चा पदार्थमा आधारित उद्योगमा कुल २० प्रतिशत कर्जा प्रवाह गर्नुपर्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ। विकास बैंक र फाइनान्स कम्पनीका लागि क्रमशः २० प्रतिशत र १५ प्रतिशत सीमा तोकिएको छ।SMEs, and domestic raw material-based industries. ‘ग्लोबल मनी विक–२०२६’ सुरु, वित्तीय साक्षरतामा जोड काठमाडौं — ‘स्मार्ट मनि टक्स’ भन्ने नाराका साथ ‘ग्लोबल मनी विक–२०२६’ आजदेखि सुरु भएको छ। हरेक वर्ष मार्च महिनामा साताव्यापी रूपमा मनाइने यस अभियानको यो चौधौँ संस्करण हो, जसले किशोर–किशोरी तथा युवामा वित्तीय साक्षरता अभिवृद्धि गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ। अभियानको पहिलो दिन नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले नेपाल बिमा प्राधिकरण, नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्ड र सहकारी विभागसँगको सहकार्यमा उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरेको थियो। कार्यक्रममा काठमाडौंका विभिन्न विद्यालयका कक्षा ८ देखि १० सम्म अध्ययनरत करिब पाँच सय विद्यार्थी सहभागी भएका थिए, जसले विद्यालय तहबाटै वित्तीय ज्ञान विस्तार गर्ने प्रयासलाई बलियो बनाएको छ।Global Money Week 2026 Begins, Focus on Strengthening Financial Literacy Kathmandu — Global Money Week 2026 has officially begun under the theme “Smart Money Talks,” marking the fourteenth edition of the week-long campaign observed every March. On the opening day, Nepal Rastra Bank, in collaboration with the Insurance Authority, Securities Board of Nepal, and the Department of Cooperatives, organized a launch event in Kathmandu. Around 500 students from Grades 8 to 10 representing various schools participated in the program, highlighting efforts to integrate financial awareness at the school level.

सार्वजनिक ऋण २८ खर्ब ७८ अर्ब नाघ्यो, जीडीपीको ४७ प्रतिशत पुगेको दायित्व काठमाडौं — चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को फागुन मसान्तसम्म नेपालको कुल सार्वजनिक ऋण दायित्व २८ खर्ब ७८ अर्ब २९ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। यो रकम कुल गार्हस्थ्य उत्पादन (जीडीपी) को ४७.१३ प्रतिशत बराबर रहेको सार्वजनिक ऋण व्यवस्थापन कार्यालयले जनाएको छ। कार्यालयको मासिक प्रतिवेदनअनुसार आर्थिक वर्षको सुरुवातमा साउन १ गतेसम्म कुल सार्वजनिक ऋण २६ खर्ब ७४ अर्ब ४ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेकोमा आठ महिनाको अवधिमा २ खर्ब ४ अर्ब २४ करोड रुपैयाँ थपिएको हो। यस अवधिमा वैदेशिक ऋणको हिस्सा बढी देखिएको छ। फागुन मसान्तसम्म वैदेशिक ऋण १५ खर्ब ३० अर्ब १८ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ भने आन्तरिक ऋण १३ खर्ब ४८ अर्ब ११ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। यस आधारमा कुल ऋणमा वैदेशिक ऋणको हिस्सा ५३.१६ प्रतिशत र आन्तरिक ऋण ४६.८४ प्रतिशत रहेको छ।Public Debt Reaches Rs 28.78 Trillion, Accounts for 47% of GDP Kathmandu — Nepal’s total outstanding public debt has climbed to Rs 2.878 trillion by the end of Falgun in the current fiscal year 2082/83, equivalent to 47.13 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to the Public Debt Management Office. The latest monthly report shows that public debt has increased by Rs 204.24 billion over the past eight months. At the beginning of the fiscal year on Shrawan 1, total public debt stood at Rs 2.674 trillion, indicating a steady rise driven by increased borrowing and fiscal requirements.

The slight increase reflects ongoing fluctuations influenced by international market trends and local demand. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams also increased to Rs 265,690 on Tuesday, up from Rs 265,345 the previous day.
