सामाजिक सुरक्षा कोषमा १ खर्ब २ अर्बभन्दा बढी संकलन, योगदानकर्ता २८ लाख नाघेSocial Security Fund Collects Over NPR 102 Billion, Contributors Exceed 2.8 Million
सामाजिक सुरक्षा कोषमा फागुन १० गतेसम्म योगदानकर्ताबाट १ खर्ब २ अर्ब ५४ करोड रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी रकम जम्मा भएको छ। हाल कोषमा २८ लाखभन्दा बढी योगदानकर्ता र २३ हजारभन्दा बढी रोजगारदाता सूचीकृत छन्। औपचारिक क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत श्रमिकको तलबबाट ३१ प्रतिशत योगदान जम्मा गरिन्छ। कोषले संकलित रकम सरकारी ऋणपत्र, बैंक निक्षेप, म्युचुअल फन्ड लगायतका क्षेत्रमा सुरक्षित रूपमा लगानी गर्दै आएको छ। औपचारिक र वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा रहेका श्रमिकको सहभागिता बढी भए पनि अनौपचारिक र स्वरोजगार क्षेत्रको सहभागिता न्यून रहेको छ।The Social Security Fund has collected over NPR 102.54 billion in contributions as of Falgun 10. More than 2.8 million contributors and over 23,000 employers are currently registered. Under the scheme, 31 percent of a worker’s basic salary is deposited into the fund. The collected amount is safely invested in government securities, bank deposits, mutual funds, and other financial instruments. While participation from formal-sector and migrant workers is high, enrollment from informal and self-employed workers remains low.
