सरकार क्यासिनोमाथि कडाइ: मनी लन्ड्रिङ नियन्त्रणदेखि अनलाइन खेलमा पूर्ण प्रतिबन्ध देशभर रहेका क्यासिनोमाथि सरकारले कडा निगरानी सुरु गरेको छ। लामो समयदेखि सुरक्षा कमजोरी, मनपरी संचालन, ठगीजस्ता गतिविधिका कारण विवादमा रहँदै आएको क्यासिनो क्षेत्रलाई अब कानुनी दायरामा कडाभरी ल्याउने सरकारी तयारी तीव्र बनेको हो। नेपाल ग्रे लिस्टबाट बाहिरिने शीघ्र सुधारात्मक क्रियाकलाप–२०८२ अन्तर्गत संस्कृति, पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्रालयले गठन गरेको कार्ययोजनाअनुसार पर्यटन विभागले हाल सञ्चालनमा रहेका सबै क्यासिनोलाई सम्पत्ति शुद्धीकरण निवारण ऐन र त्यसअन्तर्गतका प्रावधानहरूको पूर्ण कार्यान्वयन गर्न निर्देशन दिएको छ। विभागका अनुसार क्यासिनो व्यवसायीतर्फको वित्तीय क्रियाकलाप अझै अस्पष्ट र कम नियमनमा रहेकाले कडाइ अनिवार्य भएको बताइएको छ।Government Tightens Regulation on Casinos: Strong Measures Against Money Laundering, Illegal Foreign Exchange, and Online Gambling The government has moved to impose strict control and close surveillance over all casinos currently operating across the country. For years, Nepal’s casino industry has remained mired in controversies relating to security lapses, unregulated operations, fraud, and opaque financial practices. Now, under the government’s renewed commitment to strengthen financial integrity and improve regulatory oversight, the sector is set to undergo the toughest scrutiny in recent times. As part of Nepal’s efforts to exit the FATF Grey List, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, through the Department of Tourism, has directed all casinos to fully comply with the Asset (Money) Laundering Prevention Act, 2080, and all associated provisions.
