अर्काको कोल्याटरल बेच्नु ‘भ्रष्टाचारको भाग’ : गभर्नर पौडेल काठमाडौं — नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका गभर्नर प्रा. डा. विश्वनाथ पौडेलले बैंक तथा वित्तीय क्षेत्रमा हुने कर्जासम्बन्धी अनियमितताप्रति कडा चेतावनी दिएका छन्। उनले जबरजस्ती अर्काको कोल्याटरल बेचेर फाइदा उठाउने गतिविधि ‘पार्ट अफ करप्सन’ भएको उल्लेख गर्दै यस्तो कार्य राष्ट्र बैंकले क्षम्य रूपमा नलिने स्पष्ट सन्देश दिएको छ। आइतबार नेपाल आर्थिक पत्रकार संघ (नाफिज)को १६औँ वार्षिक साधारण सभामा बोल्दै गभर्नर पौडेलले सरकारी र निजी बैंकबीचको व्यवहारगत भिन्नता पनि व्याख्या गरे। उनका अनुसार सरकारी बैंकले केही जोखिम उठाउन सक्लान्, तर निजी बैंकमा त्यस्ता गतिविधि देखिए राष्ट्र बैंकले कठोर कदमहरू उठाउनेछ।Selling Someone Else’s Collateral Is ‘Part of Corruption’: Governor Paudel Kathmandu — Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Paudel has issued a stern warning against irregularities related to collateral handling in the banking sector. He said that forcibly selling someone else’s collateral for personal gain constitutes “part of corruption”, adding that such actions will not be tolerated by the central bank. Speaking at the 16th Annual General Meeting of the Nepal Forum of Financial Journalists (NAFIJ) on Sunday, Governor Paudel emphasized that there is a clear distinction in the way public and private banks are viewed. According to him, while government-owned banks may absorb certain risks, similar misconduct in private banks would invite strict regulatory action.

नबिल बैंकले १२.५० प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश प्रस्ताव गर्यो काठमाडौं — नबिल बैंक लिमिटेड (NABIL) ले आर्थिक वर्ष २०८१/८२ का लागि १२.५० प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश वितरण गर्ने प्रस्ताव गरेको छ। बैंकको सञ्चालक समिति (बोर्ड) को ६९४औँ बैठकले मंसिर १९ गते उक्त लाभांश प्रस्ताव पारित गरेको हो। बैंकले हालको चुक्ता पूँजी २७ अर्ब ५ करोड रुपैयाँ आधारमा १२.५० प्रतिशत (करसहित) नगद लाभांश वितरण गर्ने निर्णय गरेको जनाएको छ। प्रस्तावित लाभांश नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको स्वीकृति र बैंकको आगामी वार्षिक साधारण सभाले (AGM) अनुमोदन गरेपछि मात्र कार्यान्वयन हुनेछ।Nabil Bank Proposes 12.50% Cash Dividend for FY 2081/82 Kathmandu — Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) has proposed a 12.50% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2081/82. रसुवागढी जलविद्युत आयोजना आंशिक सञ्चालनमा, एक युनिटबाट ३७ मेगावाट उत्पादन सुरु काठमाडौं — नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरणको सहायक कम्पनी चिलिमे जलविद्युतको नेतृत्वमा रसुवामा निर्माण भएको रसुवागढी जलविद्युत आयोजना आंशिक रूपमा पुनः सञ्चालनमा आएको छ। गत असार २४ गते तिब्बत क्षेत्रबाट बग्ने ल्येन्दे खोलामा हिमताल विष्फोटनका कारण आएको भीषण बाढीले आयोजना संरचना—विशेषगरी हेडवर्क्स—मा ठूलो क्षति पुर्‍याएपछि उत्पादन रोकिएको थियो। हेडवर्क्सको प्राथमिक मर्मत कार्य सम्पन्न भएपछि शनिबारदेखि विद्युतगृहमा रहेका तीन युनिटमध्ये एउटा युनिट सञ्चालनमा ल्याइएको हो। १११ मेगावाट जडित क्षमताको आयोजनामा प्रत्येक युनिट ३७ मेगावाट विद्युत उत्पादन गर्ने क्षमता राख्छ। बाँकी दुई युनिट पनि एक महिनाभित्र सञ्चालनमा ल्याउने लक्ष्य प्राधिकरणले जनाएको छ।Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Resumes Partial Operation; One Unit Generates 37 MW Kathmandu — The Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project, constructed under the leadership of Chilime Hydropower— a subsidiary of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)— has resumed partial operation. The project had been shut down after flash floods triggered by a glacial lake outburst from the Lyende River in Tibet on Asar 24 caused extensive damage to the project’s headworks and surrounding structures. Following the completion of emergency repairs at the headworks, one of the three units at the powerhouse was brought back into operation from Saturday. Rasuwagadhi, with an installed capacity of 111 MW, produces 37 MW of electricity from each unit.

The initiative, led by Nepal Rastra Bank, was carried out by the Bangladeshi audit firm Howlader Yunus & Co., which visited Nepal to conduct on-site examinations of the selected banks. The review process followed Nepal’s commitment under the International Monetary Fund’s Extended Credit Facility (ECF) to assess the quality of assets within the banking sector. The audit team, which also included representatives from Nepal Rastra Bank, conducted detailed field inspections at each bank. The reviewers examined loan files, tested core banking systems, assessed the actual progress of financed projects, and evaluated repayment mechanisms. According to sources, the assessment was based on nearly two dozen indicators designed to measure the overall quality of the banks’ assets.

The company has received the required labor approval from the Government of Nepal and will now proceed with the issuance targeted specifically at migrant workers. The company will issue 10% of the total public offering—equivalent to 115,596 ordinary shares—for Nepali migrant workers. Although the face value of the shares is Rs. 100 per unit, investors will have to apply at Rs. 820.80 per share after a 10% discount on the cut-off price. Earlier, during the book-building auction for institutional investors, the cut-off price was fixed at Rs. 912.

On Wednesday, NEPSE and RBB Merchant Banking Limited signed a listing agreement, under which a total of 12 crore 50 lakh units, numbered from 1 to 12,50,00,000, have been listed at a par value of Rs. 10 per unit. RBB Merchant Banking Limited had earlier opened the public offering of the mutual fund units for general investors. The allocated 12 crore 50 lakh units have now been listed in accordance with the Securities Listing Regulations, 2074.

नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणले थप ३५ मेगावाट विद्युत् भारत निर्यात गर्ने नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरण (NEA) ले भारततर्फ थप ३५ मेगावाट विद्युत् निर्यात गर्न अनुमति प्राप्त गरेको छ। भारतको ‘Designated Authority’ Central Electricity Authority (CEA) ले मंसिर १६ गते यो अतिरिक्त निर्यातको स्वीकृति दिएको हो। प्राधिकरणले अब सेतीनदी जलविद्युत् आयोजना (24.25 MW) र माथिल्लो तादीखोला जलविद्युत् आयोजना (10.70 MW) बाट उत्पादित विद्युत् भारतको प्रतिस्पर्धी बजार (Indian Energy Exchange–IEX) मा बेच्नेछ। यससँगै भारततर्फ निर्यात हुँदै आएको कुल विद्युत् मात्रा १२०० मेगावाट पुगेको प्राधिकरणले जनाएको छ। यसअघि प्राधिकरणले २ वटा जलविद्युत् आयोजनाबाट ४० मेगावाट विद्युत् बंगलादेश निर्यात गर्दै आएको छ। हालै बंगलादेशमा सम्पन्न द्विपक्षीय छलफलमा थप २० मेगावाट निर्यात गर्ने समझदारी समेत बनेको छ, जसले नेपालका ऊर्जाबाट आय वृद्धिमा थप योगदान गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। प्राधिकरणका अनुसार जलविद्युत् उत्पादन वृद्धि र अविकसित बजारमैत्री संयन्त्र विस्तारसँगै नेपालले छिमेकी मुलुकहरूसँग विद्युत् व्यापारलाई दीर्घकालीन रूपमा विस्तार गर्दै जाने लक्ष्य लिएको छ।Nepal Electricity Authority Secures Approval to Export Additional 35 MW Power to India The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has received approval to export an additional 35 megawatts of electricity to India, further expanding Nepal’s energy trade with its southern neighbor. मंसिर १८ गते, बिहीबार नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदी दुबैको मूल्य घटेको छ। सुन प्रतितोला ८०० रुपैयाँले घटेर २ लाख ५३ हजार ३०० रुपैयाँमा पुगेको छ भने चाँदी तोलामा ३० रुपैयाँले घटेर ३ हजार ६२५ रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भएको छ। अघिल्लो दिन दुवै धातुको मूल्य उच्च थियो।On Thursday, December 04, the prices of both gold and silver declined in the Nepali market. As part of the reform measures under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a team from the Bangladeshi audit firm Howladar Yunus & Co. visited Nepal and carried out an on-site assessment. During the review, the team conducted a detailed examination of the banks’ loan files, core banking systems, status of project financing, and loan repayment processes, according to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). Officials from NRB were also part of the joint inspection team. The assessment was carried out using nearly two and a half dozen indicators related to asset quality.

साताको अन्तिम कारोबार दिन समेत नेप्से परिसूचकमा गिरावट आएको छ। साताको पहिलो दिनदेखि नै कमजोर देखिएको बजारले बुधबार पनि उही क्रमलाई निरन्तरता दियो। लगातारको गिरावटसँगै लगानीकर्ताको मनोबलमा दवाव देखिए पनि समग्र कारोबार रकममा भने वृद्धि भएको छ । बुधबार नेप्से परिसूचक १३.५२ अंकले घट्दै २६३१.१७ विन्दुमा पुगेको छ। सेन्सेटिभ इन्डेक्स ३.०३ अंकले कमजोर बनेको छ भने फ्लोट इन्डेक्स १.०१ अंक र सेन्सेटिभ फ्लोट इन्डेक्स १.०४ अंकले घटेका छन्। सूचकहरूको समग्र अवस्था हेर्दा बजार अझै कमजोर मनोविज्ञानमै रहेको देखिएको छ । तर, कारोबार रकम भने उल्टै बढेको छ। मंगलबार ४ अर्ब ४८ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको कारोबार भएको बजारमा बुधबार ५ अर्ब २३ करोड ५६ लाख ९९ हजार रुपैयाँको शेयर किनबेच भएको छ। यस दिन ३३२ कम्पनीका १ करोड ८ लाख ७३ हजार कित्ता शेयर ६७ हजार ४८५ पटक कारोबार भएका थिए, जसले कारोबार गतिविधि भने उच्च रहेको संकेत गर्छ । यस दिन पाँच कम्पनीका शेयर सकारात्मक सर्किट लेभलमा पुगेका छन्। सागर डिस्टिलरी, मिथिला लघुवित्त, झापा इनर्जी, स्वस्तिक लघुवित्त र श्रीनगर एग्रीटेक इन्डस्ट्रीजका शेयरहरू सर्किटमा पुगेका हुन्।The Nepse index has declined even on the last trading day of the week. Looking at the overall condition of the indicators, it is seen that the market is still in a weak psychology. However, the trading volume has increased on the contrary. In the market, which had a turnover of Rs 4.48 billion on Tuesday, shares worth Rs 5.23 billion were bought and sold on Wednesday. On this day, 18.73 million shares of 332 companies were traded 67,485 times, which indicates that trading activity is high. The shares of five companies have reached positive circuit levels on this day. Shares of Sagar Distillery, Mithila Microfinance, Jhapa Energy, Swastik Microfinance and Srinagar Agritech Industries have reached the circuit.

The department stated that this measure aims to enhance financial transparency and curb money laundering and tax evasion within the cooperative sector. In the circular issued on Tuesday, the department clarified that cooperatives are defined as financial institutions under the Asset (Money) Laundering Prevention Act, 2064. Therefore, in accordance with Rule 10 of the Asset Laundering Prevention Regulations, 2081, and Section 81(Kha) of the Income Tax Act, 2058, cooperatives must ensure that no commercial transactions are carried out using personal accounts. If such transactions are detected, cooperatives are required to report them to the Financial Information Unit (FIU) without delay.
