Speaking at the 36th anniversary of the Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), he urged advancing large infrastructure and long-term projects, increasing public–private partnership (PPP) investments, and mobilizing idle capital. CIT Chairman Tulsi Prasad Ghimire and Executive Director Parbat Kumar Karki highlighted that the trust invests in banks, financial institutions, loans, and equity, focusing on diversification, digital technology, transparency, and long-term returns. While there are some recovery challenges in Nepal Airlines Corporation, management is underway under government guarantee.

काठमाडौं – विश्व खाद्य कार्यक्रम (डब्लुएफपी) ले पश्चिम एशियामा अमेरिका, इजरायल र इरानबीच जारी द्वन्द्वका कारण विश्वभर करिब ३२ करोड मानिस भोकमरीको जोखिममा रहेको चेतावनी दिएको छ। युद्धले खाद्य र इन्धन मूल्य वृद्धि गराएको छ र युद्ध जारी रहँदा तथा तेलको मूल्य प्रति ब्यारेल १०० डलर नाघे थप ४ करोड ५० लाख मानिस भोकमरीको चपेटामा पर्न सक्नेछ। डब्लुएफपीले भनेको छ कि सबैभन्दा बढी प्रभाव कमजोर जनसंख्यामा पर्नेछ। इन्धन र ढुवानी खर्च वृद्धिले, अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सहयोग घटेसँगै, राहत कार्य सञ्चालन गर्न चुनौती बढेको छ। युद्ध क्षेत्रभन्दा टाढाका देश जस्तै सोमालिया, केन्या, सुडान र अफगानिस्तानमा खाद्य असुरक्षा बढ्दै गएको छ र लाखौं मानिसलाई पर्याप्त सहयोग पुग्न सकेको छैन। आगामी तीन महिनाका लागि आपतकालीन राहतका लागि डब्लुएफपीले थप ७७ मिलियन अमेरिकी डलर सहयोगको अपिल गरेको छ। Kathmandu – The World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that the ongoing conflict in West Asia between the United States, Israel, and Iran has put nearly 320 million people worldwide at risk of hunger. The war has already driven up food and fuel prices and could push an additional 45 million people into hunger if it continues and oil prices exceed $100 per barrel. The WFP highlighted that vulnerable populations will be most affected. Relief operations are already under strain due to rising fuel and transportation costs, reduced international aid, and disrupted supply chains. Countries far from the conflict, such as Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, and Afghanistan, are also experiencing worsening food insecurity, with millions unable to receive adequate aid. The WFP has appealed for an additional $77 million to support emergency food assistance over the next three months.

Previously, only three hotel companies were listed, but now cable car and aviation companies have also joined, increasing both the group’s scope and trading activity. This fiscal year, new entrants like Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited and Hotel Forest Inn Limited have joined the market. Currently, eight companies are listed under the tourism group in NEPSE, while sixteen more are in the IPO pipeline, including Sri Airlines, Kailash Helicopter, Prabhu Helicopter, Yeti Airlines, and several five-star hotels. Investment opportunities in the tourism sector are on the rise.

काठमाडौं । नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक ले बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूका लागि निर्देशित कर्जाको सीमा ४० प्रतिशतबाट घटाएर ३० प्रतिशत कायम गरेको छ। कृषि क्षेत्रमा कर्जा प्रवाहको सीमा १५ प्रतिशतबाट घटाएर १० प्रतिशत बनाइएको छ भने ऊर्जा, पर्यटन, सूचना प्रविधि, एमएसएमई र स्वदेशी कच्चा पदार्थमा आधारित उद्योगमा कुल २० प्रतिशत कर्जा प्रवाह गर्नुपर्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ। विकास बैंक र फाइनान्स कम्पनीका लागि क्रमशः २० प्रतिशत र १५ प्रतिशत सीमा तोकिएको छ।SMEs, and domestic raw material-based industries. सार्वजनिक ऋण २८ खर्ब ७८ अर्ब नाघ्यो, जीडीपीको ४७ प्रतिशत पुगेको दायित्व काठमाडौं — चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को फागुन मसान्तसम्म नेपालको कुल सार्वजनिक ऋण दायित्व २८ खर्ब ७८ अर्ब २९ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। यो रकम कुल गार्हस्थ्य उत्पादन (जीडीपी) को ४७.१३ प्रतिशत बराबर रहेको सार्वजनिक ऋण व्यवस्थापन कार्यालयले जनाएको छ। कार्यालयको मासिक प्रतिवेदनअनुसार आर्थिक वर्षको सुरुवातमा साउन १ गतेसम्म कुल सार्वजनिक ऋण २६ खर्ब ७४ अर्ब ४ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेकोमा आठ महिनाको अवधिमा २ खर्ब ४ अर्ब २४ करोड रुपैयाँ थपिएको हो। यस अवधिमा वैदेशिक ऋणको हिस्सा बढी देखिएको छ। फागुन मसान्तसम्म वैदेशिक ऋण १५ खर्ब ३० अर्ब १८ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ भने आन्तरिक ऋण १३ खर्ब ४८ अर्ब ११ करोड रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। यस आधारमा कुल ऋणमा वैदेशिक ऋणको हिस्सा ५३.१६ प्रतिशत र आन्तरिक ऋण ४६.८४ प्रतिशत रहेको छ।Public Debt Reaches Rs 28.78 Trillion, Accounts for 47% of GDP Kathmandu — Nepal’s total outstanding public debt has climbed to Rs 2.878 trillion by the end of Falgun in the current fiscal year 2082/83, equivalent to 47.13 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to the Public Debt Management Office. सुनचाँदीको मूल्यमा सामान्य वृद्धि, मंगलबार दुवै धातु महँगियो काठमाडौं — मंगलबार नेपाली बजारमा सुनचाँदीको मूल्यमा सामान्य वृद्धि देखिएको छ। नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघका अनुसार आज सुनको मूल्य प्रतितोला ४ सय रुपैयाँले बढेर ३ लाख ९ हजार ९ सय रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। यसअघि सोमबार सुनको मूल्य प्रतितोला ३ लाख ९ हजार ५ सय रुपैयाँ कायम रहेको थियो। दैनिक मूल्यमा आएको यो वृद्धि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजारको प्रभावसँगै स्थानीय मागका कारण भएको व्यवसायीहरू बताउँछन्।Gold and Silver Prices Rise Slightly on Tuesday Kathmandu — Gold and silver prices recorded a modest increase in the domestic market on Tuesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. The price of gold rose by Rs 400 per tola, reaching Rs 309,900 on Tuesday, compared to Rs 309,500 per tola on Monday. The slight increase reflects ongoing fluctuations influenced by international market trends and local demand. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams also increased to Rs 265,690 on Tuesday, up from Rs 265,345 the previous day.

शिखर पावर डेभलपमेन्टको आईपीओ बाँडफाँट, १ लाख ८४ हजार लगानीकर्ताले पाए १०–१० कित्ता काठमाडौं — शिखर पावर डेभलपमेन्ट लिमिटेडले सर्वसाधारणका लागि निष्काशन गरेको आईपीओ मंगलबार बिहान बाँडफाँट गरिएको छ। बिक्री प्रबन्धक ग्लोबल आईएमई क्यापिटलका अनुसार बिहान ८ः३० बजे शेयर बाँडफाँट सम्पन्न गरिएको हो। बाँडफाँटमा कुल १ लाख ८४ हजार २६० जना आवेदकले १०–१० कित्ताका दरले शेयर प्राप्त गरेका छन्। कम्पनीको आईपीओमा अत्यधिक माग देखिएको थियो। कुल २७ लाख ६६ हजार ५१० जनाबाट आवेदन परेकोमा अन्तिम दिनसम्म ३ अर्ब ७ करोड ३९ लाख ६० हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको ३ करोड ७ लाख ३९ हजार ६०० कित्ताका लागि आवेदन परेको थियो।Shikhar Power Development IPO Allotted, 184,260 Investors Receive 10 Shares Each Kathmandu — Shikhar Power Development Limited has completed the allotment of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) issued to the general public. According to the issue manager, Global IME Capital, the share allotment was finalized on Tuesday morning at 8:30 AM. A total of 184,260 applicants were allotted shares, each receiving 10 units. The IPO witnessed overwhelming demand from investors, reflecting strong interest in hydropower sector stocks. In total, 2,766,510 applicants had applied for the offering. By the final day of the issue, applications worth Rs 3.07 billion had been received for 30.73 million shares, indicating a significant oversubscription compared to the number of shares available for the public.

साताको दोस्रो कारोबार दिन नेप्से परिसूचक २६.०७ अंक घटेर २७९८.८३ विन्दुमा झरेको छ। सेन्सेटिभ, फ्लोट र सेन्सेटिभ फ्लोट इन्डेक्स पनि घटेका छन्। ३४५ स्टकमा ३ करोड ७ लाख ९० हजार कित्ता शेयर ११.९७ अर्ब रुपैयाँबराबर कारोबार भएको छ। चार स्टक—सालपा विकास बैंक, रिलायन्स स्पिनिङ्ग मिल्स, अप्पर हेवाखोला र सोलु हाइड्रोपावर—सकारात्मक सर्किटमा रहेका छन्। आँखु खोला जलविद्युत कम्पनी ६८ करोड ७७ लाख रुपैयाँको कारोबारसँगै शीर्ष स्थानमा रह्यो। १३ उपसमूहमध्ये १२ उपसमूहको परिसूचक घटेको छ, उत्पादन तथा प्रशोधन उपसमूह मात्र बढेको छ।On the second trading day of the week, the NEPSE index fell by 26.07 points to 2,798.83. The Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices also declined. A total of 3.079 million shares worth NPR 11.97 billion were traded across 345 stocks. Four stocks—Salpa Bikash Bank, Reliance Spinning Mills, Upper Hewakhola, and Solu Hydropower—traded at the positive circuit. Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company led the turnover with NPR 687.7 million. Among 13 sub-sectors, 12 saw declines, while only the Production and Processing sub-sector increased.

Today, hallmark gold is traded at Rs. 309,500 per tola and silver at Rs. 5,265 per tola.

चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को आठ महिनामा सरकारले ७ खर्ब ५१ अर्ब ८६ करोड रुपैयाँ राजस्व संकलन गरेको छ, जुन सो अवधिका लागि तय गरिएको लक्ष्यको ८२.६० प्रतिशत मात्र हो। वार्षिक लक्ष्य १४ खर्बभन्दा बढी भए पनि फागुनसम्म कुल लक्ष्यको करिब ५० प्रतिशत मात्रै राजस्व उठेको छ। यस अवधिमा कर राजस्व ६ खर्ब ७६ अर्ब र गैरकर राजस्व करिब ७० अर्ब रुपैयाँ संकलन भएको छ। आठ महिनामा सरकारको कुल आम्दानी करिब ७ खर्ब ६५ अर्ब रुपैयाँ हुँदा खर्च ९ खर्ब २६ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जसका कारण बजेट घाटा २ खर्ब ७९ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। यता पुँजीगत खर्च भने निकै न्यून रहँदै वार्षिक लक्ष्यको करिब १९ प्रतिशत मात्रै खर्च भएको छ।The government collected Rs 751.86 billion in revenue during the first eight months of the fiscal year 2025/26, achieving only 82.60 percent of the target set for the period. Despite an annual target of over Rs 1.4 trillion, only about 50 percent has been achieved by Falgun. During this period, tax revenue reached Rs 676 billion and non-tax revenue around Rs 70 billion. While total income stood at about Rs 765 billion, government expenditure reached Rs 926 billion, resulting in a budget deficit of Rs 279 billion. Meanwhile, capital expenditure remains very low at only about 19 percent of the annual target.
