नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरणले थप ३५ मेगावाट विद्युत् भारत निर्यात गर्ने नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरण (NEA) ले भारततर्फ थप ३५ मेगावाट विद्युत् निर्यात गर्न अनुमति प्राप्त गरेको छ। भारतको ‘Designated Authority’ Central Electricity Authority (CEA) ले मंसिर १६ गते यो अतिरिक्त निर्यातको स्वीकृति दिएको हो। प्राधिकरणले अब सेतीनदी जलविद्युत् आयोजना (24.25 MW) र माथिल्लो तादीखोला जलविद्युत् आयोजना (10.70 MW) बाट उत्पादित विद्युत् भारतको प्रतिस्पर्धी बजार (Indian Energy Exchange–IEX) मा बेच्नेछ। यससँगै भारततर्फ निर्यात हुँदै आएको कुल विद्युत् मात्रा १२०० मेगावाट पुगेको प्राधिकरणले जनाएको छ। यसअघि प्राधिकरणले २ वटा जलविद्युत् आयोजनाबाट ४० मेगावाट विद्युत् बंगलादेश निर्यात गर्दै आएको छ। हालै बंगलादेशमा सम्पन्न द्विपक्षीय छलफलमा थप २० मेगावाट निर्यात गर्ने समझदारी समेत बनेको छ, जसले नेपालका ऊर्जाबाट आय वृद्धिमा थप योगदान गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। प्राधिकरणका अनुसार जलविद्युत् उत्पादन वृद्धि र अविकसित बजारमैत्री संयन्त्र विस्तारसँगै नेपालले छिमेकी मुलुकहरूसँग विद्युत् व्यापारलाई दीर्घकालीन रूपमा विस्तार गर्दै जाने लक्ष्य लिएको छ।Nepal Electricity Authority Secures Approval to Export Additional 35 MW Power to India The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has received approval to export an additional 35 megawatts of electricity to India, further expanding Nepal’s energy trade with its southern neighbor. Gold fell by NPR 800 per tola to NPR 253,300, while silver dropped by NPR 30 per tola to NPR 3,625. Both metals were traded at higher prices the previous day.

As part of the reform measures under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a team from the Bangladeshi audit firm Howladar Yunus & Co. visited Nepal and carried out an on-site assessment. During the review, the team conducted a detailed examination of the banks’ loan files, core banking systems, status of project financing, and loan repayment processes, according to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). Officials from NRB were also part of the joint inspection team. The assessment was carried out using nearly two and a half dozen indicators related to asset quality.

The department stated that this measure aims to enhance financial transparency and curb money laundering and tax evasion within the cooperative sector. In the circular issued on Tuesday, the department clarified that cooperatives are defined as financial institutions under the Asset (Money) Laundering Prevention Act, 2064. Therefore, in accordance with Rule 10 of the Asset Laundering Prevention Regulations, 2081, and Section 81(Kha) of the Income Tax Act, 2058, cooperatives must ensure that no commercial transactions are carried out using personal accounts. If such transactions are detected, cooperatives are required to report them to the Financial Information Unit (FIU) without delay.

अब ५ लाख रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको कारोबार अनिवार्य बैंकमार्फत गर्नुपर्ने; नगद सीमा घटाएर पारदर्शिता बढाउने सरकारको तयारी सरकारले अब ५ लाख रुपैयाँभन्दा बढीको कारोबार अनिवार्य रूपमा बैंक, वित्तीय संस्था वा डिजिटल माध्यममार्फत मात्रै गर्नुपर्ने व्यवस्था लागू गरेको छ। सम्पत्ति शुद्धीकरण (Money Laundering) नियन्त्रण र Financial Action Task Force (FATF) को ग्रे–लिस्टबाट नेपाललाई मुक्त गराउन नगद कारोबारको सीमा घटाइएको नेपाल सरकारका प्रवक्ता तथा सूचना–सञ्चार मन्त्री जगदीश खरेलले जानकारी दिए। यसअघि १० लाख रुपैयाँसम्मको कारोबार नगद माध्यमबाट गर्न पाइन्थ्यो। नयाँ व्यवस्था अनुसार अब एकपटकमा ५ लाख वा सोभन्दा बढी रकम बुझ्दा वा बुझाउँदा पोख्ता बैंकिङ च्यानल वा डिजिटल भुक्तानीमार्फत मात्र कारोबार गर्नुपर्नेछ।Cash Transactions Above Rs. 500,000 Must Now Be Done Through Banks Only; Government Tightens Rules to Promote Transparency The Government of Nepal has enforced a new provision requiring that any transaction worth Rs. 500,000 or more must be conducted strictly through banks, financial institutions, or digital payment channels.
