The Thailand Business Visa fee for Nepali firms is THB 2,000 for single-entry (3 months validity) and THB 5,000 for multiple-entry (1 year validity). Payment must be made via a Manager’s Cheque through Global IME Bank in Kathmandu. The embassy does not accept online or cash payments. Thailand Business Visa Fee & Payment Method for Nepalese Firms

For Nepali firms and entrepreneurs planning to apply for a Thailand Business Visa (Non-Immigrant “B”), understanding the updated visa fee structure and payment method is essential. The Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, has outlined clear procedures for visa fee submission to ensure smooth processing. As of 2025, the official Thailand Business Visa fee is THB 2,000 for a single-entry visa(valid for three months) and THB 5,000 for a multiple-entry visa (valid for one year). These fees apply to all business-related visa categories, including applicants representing Nepali companies, investors, or entrepreneurs attending trade fairs, meetings, or corporate collaborations in Thailand.

Unlike some countries that allow direct online payments, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu currently does not accept online transfers or card payments for visa fees. Instead, all Nepali applicants are required to pay their visa fee through a Manager’s Cheque issued by Global IME Bank. The applicant must visit any Global IME Bank branch within the Kathmandu Valley, deposit the equivalent amount in Nepalese rupees as per the current exchange rate, and request a Manager’s Cheque made payable to “The Royal Thai Embassy, Kathmandu”. This cheque must be submitted along with the visa application documents at the embassy or authorized submission counter during working hours, typically between 09:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

It is important to note that the visa fee is non-refundable, meaning even if the application is rejected, withdrawn, or delayed, the amount will not be returned. Therefore, applicants should carefully verify their documents — including business invitation letters, financial statements, and travel details — before making payment. For corporate groups or multiple applicants from the same firm, separate Manager’s Cheques must be prepared for each application, as combined payments are not accepted.

For businesspersons applying through the Thailand eVisa system (www.thaievisa.go.th), the process remains partially online. Applicants fill out the digital form and upload supporting documents, but the final stage — including payment and passport submission — still requires an in-person visit or courier submission with the Manager’s Cheque attached. The eVisa platform currently does not support direct credit card payments for Nepal-based applications.

Since the exchange rate between the Thai Baht (THB) and the Nepalese Rupee (NPR) fluctuates regularly, the total payable amount may vary slightly from week to week. Applicants should confirm the current conversion rate with Global IME Bank before making payment. Typically, the total amount for a single-entry visa comes to around NPR 8,000–9,000, while a multiple-entry visa may cost between NPR 20,000–22,000, depending on the day’s rate.

To make this process easier, Yatra For Fun Pvt. Ltd., Nepal’s most trusted travel and visa assistance agency, helps applicants prepare their documents, calculate the accurate fee in local currency, and guide them through the Manager’s Cheque process. Yatra For Fun also coordinates business invitation letters, embassy appointments, and eVisa submissions for Thai business visa applicants.
