सालपा विकास बैंकको आईपीओमा आवेदन दिने आज अन्तिम दिन काठमाडौं । सालपा विकास बैंक लिमिटेडले पुस १६ गतेदेखि निष्काशन तथा बिक्री खुला गरेको प्राथमिक शेयर (आईपीओ) मा आवेदन दिने आज पुस २० गते अन्तिम दिन रहेको छ। बैंकले वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा रहेका नेपालीहरूका लागि निष्काशन गरेको आईपीओ बाँडफाँट पश्चात दोस्रो चरणमा सर्वसाधारण लगानीकर्ताका लागि आईपीओ निष्काशन गरेको हो। बैंकले जारी पूँजी ५२ करोड २३ लाख ८८ हजार रुपैयाँको ३३ प्रतिशत अर्थात १७ करोड २३ लाख ८८ हजार रुपैयाँ बराबरको १७ लाख २३ हजार ८८० कित्ता आईपीओ निष्काशन गर्ने अनुमति पाएको थियो। सोमध्ये पहिलो चरणमा १ लाख ७२ हजार ३८८ कित्ता शेयर नेपाल सरकारको सम्बन्धित निकायबाट श्रम स्वीकृति प्राप्त गरी वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा रहेका नेपालीहरूका लागि निष्काशन गरी बाँडफाँट गरिसकेको छ। साथै, ८६ हजार १९४ कित्ता शेयर सामूहिक लगानी कोषका लागि बाँडफाँट भइसकेको छ।Final Day to Apply for Salpa Development Bank IPO Kathmandu — Today (Poush 20) is the final day to apply for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Salpa Development Bank Limited, which has been open for subscription since Poush 16. The bank opened the IPO for the general public after completing the allotment of shares reserved for Nepalis working abroad under foreign employment. The IPO is part of the bank’s plan to raise capital from the public to strengthen its financial base. Salpa Development Bank has received approval to issue 17,23,880 shares, equivalent to 33 percent of its issued capital of NPR 522.39 million. The total value of the IPO stands at NPR 172.39 million.

The system came into force on Friday, according to the Department of Customs. The nationwide implementation was formally launched during a Customs Management Seminar held in Kathmandu, where Rameshwar Khanal virtually inaugurated the system in the remaining 18 customs offices. With this move, the new valuation mechanism has now become mandatory at all customs points across the country. Following Finance Minister Khanal’s appointment, the Department of Customs had initiated the system on a pilot basis at the Biratnagar Customs Office. It was later expanded to Birgunj Customs, the country’s largest customs point in terms of revenue collection. The full-scale rollout now completes the transition to a unified valuation framework nationwide.

According to the company, the meeting was held at Amrapali Banquet, Bhatbhateni, Naxal, Kathmandu. The AGM approved a proposal to distribute a 20 percent cash dividend (including tax) from the distributable profit of the previous fiscal year. Based on the company’s paid-up capital of NPR 5 billion, this amounts to a total dividend of NPR 1 billion.

मौद्रिक सहजताले आर्थिक गतिविधि विस्तार, आर्थिक वृद्धि औसतभन्दा माथि रहने अनुमान काठमाडौं । नेपाल राष्ट्र बैङ्कले अवलम्बन गरेको मौद्रिक सहजताका कारण आर्थिक गतिविधि विस्तार हुँदै गएको र यसबाट चालु तथा आगामी अवधिमा आर्थिक वृद्धि औसतभन्दा बढी हुने देखिएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैङ्कको आर्थिक अनुसन्धान विभागले तयार गरेको आर्थिक गतिविधि अध्ययन (एकीकृत) वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन (आर्थिक वर्ष २०८१/८२) अनुसार यस्तो निष्कर्ष निकालिएको हो। प्रतिवेदनमा विश्वव्यापी रूपमा इन्धन तथा खाद्य वस्तुको मूल्यमा आएको गिरावट, कर्जा तथा निक्षेपको ब्याजदर घट्दो क्रममा रहनु, जलविद्युत् उत्पादनमा उल्लेख्य वृद्धि, बाह्य पर्यटक आगमन बढ्नु तथा निर्यात र रेमिट्यान्स आप्रवाहमा सुधार आएको कारण आर्थिक वृद्धि औसतभन्दा माथि रहने उल्लेख गरिएको छ। चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ मा मुद्रास्फीतिको चाप न्यून रहने तथा समीक्षा अवधिमा आर्थिक क्रियाकलाप अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा थप सकारात्मक हुने अनुमान गरिएको छ।Economic Growth Expected to Exceed Average Due to Monetary Easing: NRB Report Kathmandu — Nepal’s economic growth is expected to remain above average as a result of monetary easing measures adopted by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), according to the Integrated Annual Economic Activity Study Report (FY 2024/25 – 2081/82) prepared by the central bank’s Economic Research Department. The report states that the decline in global fuel and food prices, falling interest rates on loans and deposits, significant growth in hydropower production, increased tourist arrivals, and growth in exports and remittance inflows have collectively supported stronger economic expansion. It also notes that inflationary pressure is expected to remain low in the current fiscal year 2025/26 (FY 2082/83), while overall economic activities are projected to be more positive compared to the previous year.

According to Chairman of the Board, Lalbahadur Sawa Limbu, the company generated 6.52 million units of electricity between mid-July (Shrawan) and mid-December (Mangsir). The electricity produced by the company is being purchased by the Nepal Electricity Authority at a fixed rate of NPR 7.30 per unit. Jhapa Energy operates a 10-megawatt solar power project located at Shivasatakshi Municipality–4, Buluchowk in Jhapa district. The project began commercial electricity generation on Magh 10, 2080 (January 2024). Prior to this, a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Jhapa Energy and the Nepal Electricity Authority was signed on Mangsir 12, 2078 (November 2021).

The company has issued its IPO in the first phase for the affected local residents of the project and Nepali citizens working abroad. The company has received approval from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to issue 2.67 million shares worth a total of NPR 267 million. Of the total shares, 10 percent, or 1.185 million shares, have been allocated for the local residents of the affected area. The affected local residents include those from all wards of Ajirkot Rural Municipality in Gorkha, wards 1, 2, and 3 of Dudh Pokhari Rural Municipality in Lamjung, and wards 4, 5, and 6 of Dordi Rural Municipality.
