नेपालमा बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाबाट प्रवाह हुने सेयर धितो (मार्जिन) कर्जा ६ महिनामा २६.३ प्रतिशतले बढेको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार असार मसान्तसम्म ९० अर्ब ९ करोड रहेको मार्जिन कर्जा पुस मसान्तसम्म १ खर्ब १३ अर्ब ७७ करोड पुगेको छ। पुस महिनामा मात्र ५ अर्ब ८३ करोड कर्जा प्रवाह भएको छ। विशेषगरी १ करोडमाथिको कर्जा ३४.९ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि भई ७५ अर्ब ४४ करोड पुगेको छ। सानो सीमाका कर्जाको वृद्धिदर न्यून देखिएको छ। ठूला लगानीकर्ताको आक्रामक प्रवेशले सेयर बजारमा जोखिम समेत बढ्न सक्ने आँकलन गरिएको छ।Margin lending through banks and financial institutions in Nepal has surged by 26.3% in the past six months. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, margin loans, which stood at NPR 90.09 billion at the end of Asar, have risen to NPR 113.77 billion by the end of Poush. In Poush alone, NPR 5.83 billion in margin loans was issued. Notably, loans exceeding NPR 10 million increased by 34.9% to reach NPR 75.44 billion. Meanwhile, smaller loan segments saw minimal growth. The aggressive borrowing by large investors has raised concerns about potential risks in the stock market.

२०२४/२५ को पहिलो ६ महिनामा २,०४,०५३ भन्दा बढी नेपाली रोजगारीका लागि विदेश गएका छन्। युएई (८६,२७०), साउदी अरेबिया (३९,२२२), र कतार (२४,६८३) मुख्य गन्तव्य बनेका छन्, जबकि कुवेत (१९,४४८), रोमानिया (११,६१३), जापान (८,४५६), र दक्षिण कोरिया (५,७४८) मा पनि आकर्षण बढ्दै गएको छ। खाडी राष्ट्रहरू प्रमुख रोजगारी केन्द्र भए पनि युरोप (रोमानिया, साइप्रस, माल्टा) तथा जापान र दक्षिण कोरियामा सीपयुक्त कामको अवसर बढ्दैछ। सरकारले श्रमिक सुरक्षाका लागि नीति ल्याए पनि, ठगी र अवैध आप्रवासन चुनौतीका रूपमा छन्। वैदेशिक रोजगारी नेपालको अर्थतन्त्रको मुख्य आधार बनेको छ।In the first six months of 2024/25, over 204,053 Nepalese migrated for foreign employment. The UAE (86,270), Saudi Arabia (39,222), and Qatar (24,683) remain the top destinations, followed by Kuwait (19,448), Romania (11,613), Japan (8,456), and South Korea (5,748). While Gulf countries dominate, European markets (Romania, Cyprus, Malta) and skilled jobs in Japan and South Korea are growing. The government is working on worker safety, wage standards, and reintegration policies, but fraud and illegal migration remain concerns. Nepalese migration continues to be a major economic driver.

नेपालको आयात संरचनाले देशको अर्थतन्त्रका विभिन्न पक्षहरू उजागर गर्छ। ऊर्जा, यातायात, खाद्य, औद्योगिक उपकरण तथा स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा नेपाल ठूलो मात्रामा आयातमा निर्भर देखिन्छ। यदि नेपालले वैकल्पिक ऊर्जा स्रोतहरूको प्रवर्द्धन, उद्योग विस्तार, कृषि उत्पादन वृद्धिलाई प्राथमिकता दिएमा आयातमा निर्भरता घटाउन सकिन्छ। साथै, निर्यात वृद्धि गरी विदेशी मुद्रा सञ्चितिलाई मजबुत बनाउन पनि ध्यान दिनुपर्ने देखिन्छ। नेपालको वर्तमान आर्थिक अवस्था सन्तुलित बनाउन सरकार तथा निजी क्षेत्रले मिलेर नीतिगत सुधार ल्याउनुपर्ने जरुरी देखिन्छ।Nepal’s import patterns reveal key challenges in energy, transportation, food security, industrial production, and infrastructure development. While the government has prioritized policies to reduce import dependency, stronger efforts are needed to enhance domestic production and encourage exports. To achieve sustainable economic growth, Nepal must invest in industrialization, alternative energy sources, and agricultural modernization while promoting local industries to create a self-reliant economy.
