सरकारले चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को पहिलो छ महिनामा कुल ६ खर्ब ९० अर्ब रुपैयाँ बजेट खर्च गरेको छ। कुल १९ खर्ब ६४ अर्ब बजेटमध्ये चालु खर्च बढी भए पनि पुँजीगत खर्च १२ प्रतिशतमा सीमित रहेको छ। पूर्वतयारीको अभाव, जग्गा तथा वन क्षेत्रसम्बन्धी जटिलता र आन्दोलनका कारण पुँजीगत खर्च कमजोर बनेको अर्थमन्त्रालयले जनाएको छ। राजस्व संकलन लक्ष्यभन्दा कम भए पनि गत वर्षको तुलनामा सुधार देखिएको छ। सरकारले अनुत्पादक आयोजनामा विनियोजित बजेट स्थगन गर्दै मितव्ययिता र खर्च नियन्त्रणमा जोड दिएको छ।The Government of Nepal has spent NPR 690 billion in the first six months of fiscal year 2082/83 out of the total allocated budget of NPR 1.964 trillion. While recurrent expenditure remained high, capital spending was limited to around 12 percent due to poor project preparedness, land and forest clearance issues, and disruptions caused by protests. Revenue collection fell short of the target but showed year-on-year improvement. The government has suspended funding for unproductive projects and emphasized fiscal discipline, prioritization, and expenditure control.
