नेको इन्स्योरेन्स लिमिटेडले गत आर्थिक वर्षको मुनाफाबाट शेयरधनीलाई कुल १५.७८ प्रतिशत लाभांश वितरण गर्ने घोषणा गरेको छ। यसमा १२.७८ प्रतिशत बोनस शेयर र कर प्रयोजनका लागि ३ प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश समावेश छ। प्रस्तावित लाभांश नेपाल बीमा प्राधिकरणको स्वीकृति र आगामी वार्षिक साधारण सभाबाट पारित भएपछि वितरण गरिनेछ।Neco Insurance Limited has announced a total dividend of 15.78 percent for its shareholders from the previous fiscal year’s profit. The dividend includes 12.78 percent bonus shares and 3 percent cash dividend for tax purposes. The distribution will be made after approval from the Nepal Insurance Authority and the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

माघ २ गते, शुक्रबार नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदी दुवैको मूल्य बढेको छ। **नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघ**का अनुसार छापावाल सुनको मूल्य प्रतितोला ७०० रुपैयाँले बढेर २ लाख ७७ हजार २०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ भने चाँदीको मूल्य १६० रुपैयाँले बढेर प्रतितोला ५ हजार ६४५ रुपैयाँ कायम भएको छ। Gold and silver prices increased in the Nepali market on Friday, January 16, 2026. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of hallmark gold rose by NPR 700 to NPR 277,200 per tola, while silver increased by NPR 160 to NPR 5,645 per tola.

दोस्रो त्रैमासको अन्तिम कारोबार दिन पुस ३० गते नेप्से परिसूचक १.५२ अंकले बढेर २६४१.४३ विन्दुमा पुगेको छ। बजार सकारात्मक रहे पनि कारोबार रकम घटेर ६ अर्ब २० करोड रुपैयाँमा सीमित भयो। यस दिन सुपर मादी हाइड्रोपावरको शेयरमूल्य सर्वाधिक बढेको छ। १३ उपसमूहमध्ये ८ उपसमूह उकालो लाग्दा वित्त उपसमूह सबैभन्दा बढी २.५५ प्रतिशतले बढेको छ।On the final trading day of the second quarter, the NEPSE index rose by 1.52 points to close at 2,641.43. Despite the positive close, total turnover declined to NPR 6.20 billion. Super Madi Hydropower emerged as the top gainer of the day. Out of 13 sub-indices, eight ended higher, with the finance sub-index leading the gains with a 2.55 percent rise.

काठमाडौं । चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो पाँच महिनामा वाणिज्य बैंकहरूको कुल नाफा झण्डै १५ प्रतिशतले घटेर २५ अर्ब ७२ करोड रुपैयाँमा सीमित भएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको तथ्यांकअनुसार गत वर्षको सोही अवधिमा बैंकहरूले ३० अर्ब २४ करोड रुपैयाँ नाफा कमाएका थिए। खराब कर्जा वृद्धि, आर्थिक मन्दी, ऋण मागमा कमी र उच्च सञ्चालन खर्चका कारण बैंकहरूको नाफामा दबाब परेको देखिन्छ। यस अवधिमा ग्लोबल आइएमई, राष्ट्रिय वाणिज्य, सानिमा र सिद्धार्थ बैंकले नाफा वृद्धि गरेका छन् भने अधिकांश बैंकहरूको नाफा घटेको छ। कुल २० बैंकमध्ये १५ बैंकको नाफा घट्दा बैंकिङ क्षेत्रमा असमान प्रदर्शन देखिएको छ। Kathmandu. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, banks had earned NPR 30.24 billion during the same period last year. Rising non-performing loans, economic slowdown, weak credit demand, and higher operating costs have negatively impacted profitability. While Global IME Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Sanima Bank, and Siddhartha Bank recorded profit growth, most other banks saw a decline. Out of 20 banks, profits dropped in 15, reflecting uneven performance across the banking sector.

सिन्धुलीमा नेपाल एसबीआई बैंकमा सशस्त्र लुटपाट, ४ जना पक्राउ, १ करोड ८० लाखभन्दा बढी रकम बरामद सिन्धुली । सिन्धुली जिल्लाको घ्याङ्लेख गाउँपालिका–२ बस्तीपुरस्थित Nepal SBI Bank को हायुटार शाखामा मंगलबार राति सशस्त्र लुटपाट भएको छ। नकाबधारी पाँच–छ जनाको समूहले बैंकमा प्रवेश गरी लुटपाट गर्दा एक जना सुरक्षा गार्ड घाइते भएका छन् भने ठूलो रकम लुटिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय सिन्धुलीका अनुसार मंगलबार साँझ करिब ८:४० बजे लुटेराहरूले बैंकका सुरक्षा गार्ड रुद्रबहादुर कार्कीलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएर खुकुरी प्रहार गरी घाइते बनाएका थिए। त्यसपछि बैंकका कर्मचारीलाई समेत नियन्त्रणमा लिएर ३ करोड १० लाख ९५ हजार २८३ रुपैयाँ लुटेर फरार भएका थिए। लुटेराहरू भाग्ने क्रममा स्थानीयको होहल्लापछि केही रकम बोकेको बोरा घटनास्थलमै छाडेर भागेको र थप खोजतलासका क्रममा घटनास्थलको २–३ किलोमिटर क्षेत्रभित्र विभिन्न स्थानबाट रकम फेला परेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय सिन्धुलीका प्रमुख एसपी लालध्वज सुवेदीका अनुसार हालसम्म १ करोड ८० लाख १० हजार ५०० रुपैयाँ बरामद गरिएको छ।Armed Robbery at Nepal SBI Bank in Sindhuli: Four Arrested, Over NPR 180 Million Recovered Sindhuli: An armed group carried out a robbery at the Nepal SBI Bank branch located in Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality–2, Bastipur–Hayutar, on Tuesday night. Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the incident and recovered a significant portion of the stolen cash. According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, the robbery occurred at around 8:40 PM when a group of five to six masked individuals entered the bank premises. The assailants overpowered the security guard, Rudra Bahadur Karki, injuring him with a khukuri, and took bank staff under control before looting the cash vault.

माघमा वाणिज्य बैंकहरूको ब्याजदर थप घट्यो, तरलता प्रशस्त हुँदा बैंकहरू दबाबमा काठमाडौं । माघ महिनाका लागि वाणिज्य बैंकहरूले सार्वजनिक गरेको नयाँ ब्याजदर तालिकाले बैंकिङ प्रणालीमा तरलता अत्यधिक रहेको स्पष्ट संकेत गरेको छ। सञ्चालनमा रहेका २० वाणिज्य बैंकमध्ये १२ बैंकले पुसको तुलनामा माघमा निक्षेपको ब्याजदर घटाएका छन् भने ७ बैंकले व्यक्तिगत मुद्दती निक्षेपमा दिने अधिकतम ब्याजदर यथावत् राखेका छन्। यसबीच प्राइम कमर्सियल बैंकले भने अपवादका रूपमा ब्याजदर बढाएको छ। पुस महिनामा व्यक्तिगत मुद्दती निक्षेपको अधिकतम ब्याजदर ५.५५ प्रतिशतसम्म पुगेको थियो। तर माघमा यस्तो अधिकतम दर घटेर ५.५ प्रतिशतमा सीमित भएको छ। त्यस्तै, पुसमा औसत ब्याजदर ४.८५ प्रतिशत रहेकोमा माघमा घटेर ४.७ प्रतिशतमा झरेको छ। यसले बैंकिङ प्रणालीमा कर्जा माग कमजोर रहेको र निक्षेप परिचालनमा बैंकहरूलाई चुनौती बढ्दै गएको देखाउँछ।Commercial Banks Cut Deposit Interest Rates Further in Magh as Excess Liquidity Pressures Continue Commercial banks have further reduced deposit interest rates for the month of Magh, reflecting the continued surplus liquidity in Nepal’s banking system. According to the interest rate disclosures published by the banks, 12 out of 20 operating commercial banks have lowered their deposit rates compared to Poush, while seven banks have kept their maximum individual fixed-deposit rates unchanged. Prime Commercial Bank is the only bank that has increased its rate during this period. In Poush, the maximum interest rate on individual fixed deposits stood at 5.55 percent, but in Magh this has declined to 5.5 percent. Similarly, the average deposit interest rate has dropped from 4.85 percent in Poush to 4.7 percent in Magh, indicating weak credit demand and limited lending opportunities in the market.

नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले आफ्नो उपदान र पेन्सन कोषमा रहेको ७ अर्ब ३५ करोड रुपैयाँलाई मुद्दती निक्षेपका रूपमा लगानी गर्न ब्याजदर प्रस्ताव आह्वान गरेको छ। यस रकमलाई वाणिज्य बैंक, विकास बैंक र वित्त कम्पनीहरूका लागि छुट्याइएको छ। प्रस्तावहरू माघ २, २०८२ सम्म पेश गर्नुपर्नेछ। इच्छुक बैंक र वित्तीय संस्थाले न्यूनतम पुँजीकोष, निष्क्रिय कर्जा ८ प्रतिशतभन्दा कम, र नाफा कमाएका हुनुपर्ने शर्त पूरा गर्नुपर्नेछ। प्रस्ताव गरिएको ब्याजदर लगानी मितिसम्म मान्य रहनेछ। यसले बैंकिङ प्रणालीको तरलता व्यवस्थापन र ब्याजदर प्रतिस्पर्धामा सुधार ल्याउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।Nepal Rastra Bank has called for interest rate proposals from banks and financial institutions to invest NPR 7.35 billion from its grants and pension fund in fixed deposits. The total amount is allocated to commercial banks, development banks, and finance companies in different categories. The fixed deposits will be held for one year from January 21, 2026, to January 21, 2027. Proposals must be submitted by 7 PM on Magh 2, 2026. Banks and financial institutions must meet several criteria, including maintaining capital requirements, keeping non-performing loans below 8%, and being profitable in the last financial year. The proposal’s interest rate will remain valid until the investment date. This initiative aims to improve liquidity management and increase interest rate competition in the banking system.
