The bank introduced the card at an event held in Kathmandu, stating that the new product aims to provide greater convenience to customers and strengthen the electronic payment ecosystem. Senior officials from both Nabil Bank and Mastercard were present at the launch ceremony. Speaking at the event, Nabil Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali said the introduction of the new debit card marks another milestone in the bank’s ongoing commitment to offer world-class services. “Since the beginning, Nabil Bank has been dedicated to providing international-standard facilities to its customers,” Gyawali said. “This new Mastercard debit card is part of that journey.”

      मंसिरमा बैंक ब्याजदर फेरि घट्यो, आधा बैंकले मुद्दती निक्षेप दर कमाए विगत केही महिनादेखि निरन्तर ओरालो लागिरहेको बैंक ब्याजदर मंसिर महिनामा पनि घट्ने भएको छ। बैंकहरूले प्रकाशित गरेको नयाँ दरसूची अनुसार कात्तिक महिनाको तुलनामा २० मध्ये १० बैंकले व्यक्तिगत मुद्दती निक्षेपको अधिकतम ब्याजदर घटाएका छन्, भने १० बैंकले कात्तिककै दरलाई स्थिर राखेका छन्। औसत ब्याजदर घट्दै: कात्तिकमा ५.२०%, मंसिरमा ५.०४% मंसिर महिनाका लागि बैंकहरूको औसत व्यक्तिगत मुद्दती निक्षेप ब्याजदर ५.०४ प्रतिशत निर्धारण भएको छ। यो कात्तिकको औसत ५.२० प्रतिशतभन्दा ०.१६ प्रतिशत बिन्दुले कम हो। त्यस्तै, संस्थागत मुद्दती निक्षेपमा पनि बैंकहरूले ब्याजदर घटाएका छन्। कात्तिक महिनाको तुलनामा मंसिरमा ०.०७ प्रतिशत बिन्दुले संस्थागत मुद्दती व्याज घटेको छ।Bank Interest Rates Decline Again in Mangsir, Half of the Banks Cut Fixed Deposit Rates Commercial banks have further reduced their fixed deposit interest rates for the month of Mangsir, continuing a downward trend that has persisted for several months. According to the new rate sheets published by the banks, 10 out of 20 banks have lowered their interest rates, while the remaining 10 banks have kept the Kartik rates unchanged. Average Interest Rates Fall: 5.20% in Kartik → 5.04% in Mangsir The average fixed deposit interest rate for individual depositors has dropped to 5.04% for Mangsir. This is 0.16 percentage points lower than Kartik’s average rate of 5.20%. Similarly, the institutional fixed deposit rate has also decreased by 0.07 percentage points during the review period. This marks another month of easing interest rates across the banking sector.

According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, this is the highest monthly remittance inflow ever recorded in Nepal’s history. The sharp rise is largely attributed to festival-season transfers for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, when Nepalis abroad typically send more money home. In the same month last year, Nepal had received NPR 144.17 billion in remittances. This year’s Ashoj flow has far surpassed that figure, indicating a significant increase in the amount sent by migrant workers. Analysts note that rising foreign employment, higher earnings abroad and seasonal household demand have collectively boosted the inflow to record levels.

      विदेशी विनिमय सञ्चिति ३० खर्ब नजिक, आयात धान्ने क्षमता झनै बलियो नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले सार्वजनिक गरेको ताजा तथ्याङ्कअनुसार २०८२ असोज मसान्तसम्म नेपालको कुल विदेशी विनिमय सञ्चिति २९ खर्ब ७९ अर्ब ८१ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। केन्द्रीय बैंकका अनुसार असार मसान्तमा रहेको सञ्चिति तीन महिनामै ११.३ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि भएको हो। विदेशी मुद्राको सञ्चिति बढेसँगै मुलुकको बाह्य क्षेत्र स्थायित्व अझै सुदृढ बन्दै गएको बैंकको निष्कर्ष छ। अमेरिकी डलरमा हेर्दा पनि विदेशी विनिमय सञ्चिति उल्लेखनीय रूपमा बढेको देखिन्छ। असार मसान्तमा १९ अर्ब ५० करोड रहेको सञ्चिति असोज मसान्तमा २१ अर्ब २१ करोड पुगेको छ। डलर आधारमा ८.७ प्रतिशतको वृद्धि भएको यो तथ्यांकले अर्थतन्त्रको विदेशी मुद्रा सुरक्षात्मक क्षमता बलियो भएको संकेत गर्दछ।Nepal’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Near NPR 30 Trillion, Import Capacity Strengthens According to the latest data published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the country’s total foreign exchange reserves have reached NPR 29.79 trillion by the end of Ashoj 2082. The reserves, which stood at NPR 26.77 trillion at the end of Asar, have increased by 11.3 percent in just three months. The central bank states that the continuous rise in reserves has further strengthened Nepal’s external sector stability. Foreign exchange reserves have increased not only in Nepali currency but also in US dollars. The reserve, which stood at USD 19.50 billion at the end of Asar, rose to USD 21.21 billion by the end of Ashoj—an increase of 8.7 percent. This improvement indicates a stronger external liquidity position for the country.

The decision was made following several months of negotiations, according to a statement issued by the White House on Friday. The U.S., Switzerland, and Liechtenstein have reached an initial trade framework agreement that lays the foundation for revised tariff and investment arrangements. As part of the understanding, companies from Switzerland and Liechtenstein are expected to invest nearly USD 200 billion in the United States. Out of this, USD 67 billion will be invested by 2026, the White House said.       भारतीय आयलको दर समायोजनसँगै नेपालमा पेट्रोल–डिजेल महँगियो, आजदेखि लागू काठमाडौं — नेपाल आयल निगमले पेट्रोल, डिजेल र मट्टितेलको मूल्य वृद्धि गरेको छ। भारतीय आयल कर्पोरेसन (IOC) ले नेपाललाई पठाउने नयाँ मूल्य बढाएपछि निगम सञ्चालक समितिको बैठक बसेर आज मध्यरातिदेखि लागू हुने गरी मूल्य समायोजन गरेको हो। निगमका अनुसार पेट्रोलको मूल्य प्रतिलिटर रु २ र डिजेल–मट्टितेलको मूल्य प्रतिलिटर रु ३ ले वृद्धि गरिएको छ। IOC ले पठाएको नयाँ खरिद मूल्यअनुसार पेट्रोलमा प्रतिलिटर रु २.५४ र डिजेलमा रु ६.५३ ले बढेकाले मूल्य समायोजन अपरिहार्य भएको निगमले स्पष्ट पारेको छ।Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased in Nepal After Revision by Indian Oil Corporation Kathmandu — Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene following the latest price update from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). As per the constitutional provision, all local levels must present their budget by Ashar 10, yet many have failed to meet this mandatory deadline. Out of 753 local levels across the country, 728 have presented their budgets, while 25 local levels nationwide—including 24 from Madhesh Province—have not yet done so. In Madhesh Province, among the total 136 local levels, 112 have submitted their budgets, but 24 local units remain pending.

In the same period last fiscal year, the company had earned only Rs. 8 crore 43 lakh, indicating a massive growth in profitability. The surge in profit is largely attributed to a substantial increase in sales revenue, which rose from Rs. 3 billion last year to Rs. 3 billion 69 crore this year. The company’s annual Earnings Per Share (EPS) has also jumped sharply to Rs. 608, compared to Rs. 158 previously. Its net worth per share stands at Rs. 3,350, and the company’s share price closed at Rs. 16,000 per share on Thursday.

According to the company’s financial report, the net profit for the period stands at Rs. 30 crore, compared to Rs. 52 crore 69 lakh in the same quarter last fiscal year. The sharp decline in profit is primarily due to a drop in sales and operating income. The company’s revenue, which was Rs. 2.25 billion in the first quarter of last year, has contracted to Rs. 2 billion in the current review period. Meanwhile, the company’s total expenses have slightly increased. Total expenses rose from Rs. 1.63 billion last year to Rs. 1.66 billion this year, largely driven by the rising cost of raw materials.
