राष्ट्र बैंकले फेरि ३० अर्बको निक्षेप संकलन उपकरण जारी गर्दै, तरलता व्यवस्थापनको प्रयास जारीNRB Issues Rs. 30 Billion Deposit Collection Instrument Again to Manage Excess Liquidity Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has once again issued a Rs. 30 billion deposit collection instrument for 21 days to absorb excess liquidity from the financial system. This move follows the maturity of Rs. 27.5 billion previously placed in a similar instrument on Baisakh 21. According to NRB, interested banks and financial institutions can participate in the auction process and submit bids by 3 PM today. The repayment date, including principal and interest, is set for Ashad 1 (June 14). The interest rate will be determined through the auction process. Each participant must bid for a minimum of Rs. 1 billion and can demand up to Rs. 5 billion, with allocation based on cutoff rates.

आइतबार (जेठ ११) नेपाली बजारमा सुनको मूल्य प्रतितोला १,४०० रुपैयाँले बढेर १,९१,८०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। शुक्रबारको मूल्य १,९०,४०० रुपैयाँ थियो। चाँदीको मूल्य भने स्थिर रहँदै प्रतितोला २,००५ रुपैयाँ कायम छ।On Sunday (Jestha 11), the price of gold in Nepal rose by NPR 1,400 per tola, reaching NPR 191,800. This is up from Friday’s rate of NPR 190,400. However, silver prices remained stable at NPR 2,005 per tola.

१० ठूला बैंकको ऋण पोर्टफोलियो रिभ्यु : IMF को सन्देश र आशंका नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले देशका १० ठूला वाणिज्य बैंकको ऋण पोर्टफोलियो (Loan Portfolio) को लेखापरीक्षण गर्न बंगलादेशको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय लेखा परीक्षण फर्म हाउलादार युनुस एण्ड कम्पनीलाई छनोट गरेको छ। यो प्रक्रिया अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मुद्रा कोष (IMF) सँग गरिएको विस्तारित कर्जा सुविधा (ECF) सम्झौताको शर्तअनुसार अघि बढाइएको हो। नेपालले ३९५ मिलियन अमेरिकी डलरको सहुलियतपूर्ण ऋण सम्झौतामा १० ठूला बैंकको ऋण पोर्टफोलियो तेस्रो पक्षबाट अडिट गराउने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएको थियो। राष्ट्र बैंकको सम्पत्ति तथा सेवा व्यवस्थापन विभागले हालै प्राविधिक मूल्यांकनको आधारमा बंगलादेशको हाउलादार युनुस एण्ड कम्पनीलाई उत्कृष्ट ठहर गर्दै अन्तिम रुपमा छनोट गरेको हो। अब उक्त कम्पनीले २५ जेठभित्र वित्तीय प्रस्ताव पेश गर्नुपर्नेछ। यसअघि भारतको केपीएमजी कम्पनीको प्रस्ताव अस्वीकृत भएपछि लेखापरीक्षण प्रक्रिया रोकिएको थियो।NRB Selects Bangladesh’s Howladar Yunus & Co. for Loan Portfolio Review of Nepal’s Top 10 Banks Kathmandu, May 25 – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has resumed the process of conducting a loan portfolio review of the country’s top 10 commercial banks, selecting Howladar Yunus & Co., a renowned auditing firm from Bangladesh, as the external auditor. विद्युतीय सवारी आयातमा ४५.९० प्रतिशतको वृद्धि, चीनबाट मात्रै ८२ प्रतिशत चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो १० महिनामा नेपालमा विद्युतीय सवारी (ईभी) को आयात उल्लेखनीय रूपमा बढेको छ। भन्सार विभागले सार्वजनिक गरेको तथ्यांकअनुसार साउनदेखि वैशाखसम्म ४२ हजार १ सय २ ओटा ईभी गाडी नेपाल भित्रिएका छन्, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा ४५.९० प्रतिशतले बढी हो। गत वर्ष सोही अवधिमा २८ हजार ८ सय ५६ ओटा ईभी मात्र आयात भएका थिए। यस वर्ष १३ हजार २ सय ४६ ओटा विद्युतीय सवारी थप भित्रिएपछि वातावरणमैत्री सवारीप्रतिको आकर्षण बढ्दै गएको प्रष्ट हुन्छ। यसवर्ष ईभी आयातमा कुल ३३ अर्ब ३२ करोड २१ लाख ६६ हजार रुपैयाँ खर्च भएको छ, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा २७.९२ प्रतिशतले बढी हो। अघिल्लो आर्थिक वर्षको वैशाखसम्म ईभी आयातमा २६ अर्ब ४ करोड रुपैयाँ खर्च गरिएको थियो।Electric Vehicle Imports Surge by 45.90% in Nepal, China Accounts for Over 82% Nepal has witnessed a significant rise in the import of electric vehicles (EVs) during the first ten months of the current fiscal year. According to data released by the Department of Customs, a total of 42,102 EVs were imported between mid-July and mid-May, marking a 45.90% increase compared to the same period last fiscal year, when only 28,856 EVs were brought in. This surge translates into an additional 13,246 EVs entering the country this year, reflecting Nepal’s growing shift towards environment-friendly transportation alternatives. The total spending on EV imports this fiscal year has reached Rs. 33.32 billion, which is 27.92% higher than the Rs. 26.04 billion spent during the same period last year. Likewise, customs revenue from EVs has also seen a sharp rise. The government collected Rs. 17.47 billion in EV-related customs duties this fiscal year, compared to Rs. 10.92 billion last year. This marks a 59.90% increase in revenue, amounting to an additional Rs. 6.54 billion.

In an effort to manage excess liquidity in the financial system, the central bank is set to withdraw an additional NPR 50 billion today via a 21-day Deposit Collection Instrument. Due to prolonged sluggishness in loan disbursement despite falling interest rates, the banking system has seen continued excess liquidity. As a response, NRB has been using tools such as Deposit Collection Instruments and the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) to mop up surplus funds.
