Earlier, a subcommittee was formed under the coordination of Nepali Congress MP Hridayaram Thani to review the bill. The subcommittee submitted its report to the committee, which was unanimously approved during the meeting. The arrested individuals are identified as Kul Bahadur Thapa (43) from Gorkha Gandaki Rural Municipality–2, currently residing in Bharatpur Metropolitan City–10, Chitwan; Rajan Ale (31) from Gorkha Gandaki Municipality–2, currently residing in Nagarjun, Kathmandu; Jay Prakash Chaurasiya (30) from Birgunj–16, Parsa; and Akash Dulal (27) from Suryabinayak Municipality–5, Bhaktapur. According to Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya, the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, these individuals lured unemployed youths with promises of high-paying jobs abroad, deceiving them for extended periods without fulfilling their commitments.

On Sunday, the central bank plans to withdraw NPR 60 billion from the banking system. NRB aims to absorb NPR 70 billion by issuing deposit collection instruments. The accumulation of liquidity in banks has created challenges for NRB in managing the interest rate corridor. Despite providing Standing Liquidity Facility (SLF) to banks, the interbank interest rate has exceeded the desired range. To address this, NRB has decided to utilize deposit collection instruments to absorb the excess liquidity. This liquidity management measure is expected to help balance the banking system's liquidity and stabilize interest rates.

Speaking at a program titled “Mobilization of the Development Budget: Roles of the Government and the Private Sector”, he addressed the grievances of contractors who have not received billions of rupees in payments despite completing government projects. The event was organized in collaboration with the Nepal Economic Journalists Association (NAFIJ), the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal. During the program, Minister Poudel acknowledged that contractors have been waiting for payments from projects completed in the previous fiscal year.

डलरको मूल्य नेपाली बजारमा नयाँ रेकर्डमा, नेपाली रुपैयाँ कमजोर हुँदै नेपाली रुपैयाँको निरन्तर अवमूल्यनको कारण अमेरिकी डलरको मूल्यले नेपाली बजारमा नयाँ उचाई कायम गरेको छ। मंसिर १८ मा कायम गरिएको पुरानो रेकर्ड तोड्दै, अमेरिकी डलरको बिक्रीदर अहिले १३५ रुपैयाँ ८९ पैसा र खरिददर १३५ रुपैयाँ २९ पैसा पुगेको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार यो दर पहिलाको १३५ रुपैयाँ ८२ पैसा र १३५ रुपैयाँ २२ पैसा भन्दा थोरै तर महत्वपूर्ण रूपमा उच्च छ।US Dollar Hits Record High in Nepali Market Amid Persistent Depreciation of Nepali Rupee The Nepali currency continues its downward trajectory as the US dollar reached a new record high in the Nepali market, breaking the previous benchmark set on Mangsir 18. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, the selling rate of the US dollar is now NPR 135.89, with the buying rate at NPR 135.29. This represents a slight yet significant increase from the rates of NPR 135.82 and NPR 135.22 recorded earlier.
