विराटनगर । पश्चिम एसियामा जारी युद्धका कारण नेपालमा प्लास्टिक उद्योगका लागि आवश्यक कच्चा पदार्थ अभाव भएको छ। मोरङको एलेक्जा लाइफ साइन्सेस र वीरगञ्जको एभरेष्ट प्यारेन्टेरल जस्ता उद्योगहरू स्लाइन पानी उत्पादनमा प्रभावित भएका छन्। एमएम प्लास्टिक उद्योगले उत्पादन थप सातासम्म मात्र चलाउन सक्ने अवस्था आएको छ। भारत र खाडी मुलुकबाट आउने कच्चा पदार्थको ढुवानी अवरुद्ध हुँदा प्याकेजिङ, पाइप, बोतल, कुर्सी र अन्य प्लास्टिक सामग्री उत्पादन प्रभावित भएको छ। उद्योगीका अनुसार मूल्यवृद्धि र आपूर्ति अवरोधले दैनिक उपभोग्य वस्तुमा अभाव र मूल्यवृद्धि निम्त्याउने जोखिम छ। Biratnagar: The ongoing war in West Asia has caused a shortage of raw materials for Nepal’s plastic industry. Industries like Alekza Life Sciences in Morang and Everest Parenteral in Birgunj have seen production of saline water drop significantly. MM Plastic Industry can operate for only seven more days due to the shortage. Transport disruptions from India and Gulf countries have affected production of packaging materials, pipes, bottles, chairs, and other plastic goods. Industry experts warn that supply issues and rising costs could lead to shortages and price increases in daily consumer goods.
