हिमालयन लाइफ इन्स्योरेन्सको ८ प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश घोषणा हिमालयन लाइफ इन्स्योरेन्सले गत आर्थिक वर्षको नाफाबाट शेयरधनीहरूलाई वितरण गर्ने लाभांश घोषणा गरेको छ। कम्पनीले ८ प्रतिशत नगद लाभांश दिने निर्णय गरेको हो। कम्पनीको सञ्चालक समितिको जेठ १४ गते बसेको बैठकले हाल कायम चुक्तापुँजीको आधारमा नगद लाभांश दिने निर्णय गरेको हो। हाल कम्पनीको चुक्तापुँजी ९ अर्ब १४ करोड ३२ लाख ३७ हजार ३०६ रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। उक्त पूँजीको ८ प्रतिशतका दरले कम्पनीले शेयरधनीहरूलाई ७३ करोड १४ लाख ५८ हजार ९८४ रुपैयाँ बराबरको नगद लाभांश वितरण गर्ने भएको हो। घोषित लाभांश नेपाल बीमा प्राधिकरणबाट स्वीकृति प्राप्त भएपछि र आगामी वार्षिक साधारण सभाबाट पारित भएपछि मात्र वितरण गरिने कम्पनीले जनाएको छ। यस निर्णयले कम्पनीका शेयरधनीहरूलाई केही राहत मिल्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।Himalayan Life Insurance Announces 8% Cash Dividend Himalayan Life Insurance has announced an 8% cash dividend for its shareholders from the profit of the last fiscal year. The decision was made during the company’s Board of Directors meeting held on May 27 (Jestha 14). The dividend will be distributed based on the company’s current paid-up capital. With a current paid-up capital of NPR 9.14 billion, the insurance company plans to distribute a total of NPR 731.45 million as cash dividends to its shareholders. The proposed dividend will be distributed after receiving approval from the Nepal Insurance Authority and endorsement by the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). This move is expected to provide financial returns to the shareholders and reflects the company’s performance in the previous fiscal year.

अधिक तरलताले राष्ट्र बैंकको ब्याजदर करिडोर व्यवस्थापनमा समस्या, ८० अर्ब रुपैयाँ एकैदिन प्रणालीबाट प्रशोचन देशको बैंकिङ प्रणालीमा अत्यधिक तरलता थुप्रिँदा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक (NRB) लाई मौद्रिक नीति अनुसारको ब्याजदर करिडोर व्यवस्थापन गर्न सकस भएको छ। कर्जाको माग कम हुँदै गएको, तर निक्षेप भने तीव्रगतिमा बढेको अवस्थाले बैंकहरूमा प्रशस्त लगानीयोग्य रकम बाँकी रहँदा केन्द्रीय बैंकले बारम्बार निक्षेप संकलन उपकरणमार्फत तरलता तान्न बाध्य भएको हो। राष्ट्र बैंकले आज (जेठ १५ गते) २१ दिन अवधिका लागि ८० अर्ब रुपैयाँ बराबरको निक्षेप संकलन उपकरण (Deposit Collection Instrument) जारी गरेको छ। यो उपकरणमार्फत प्रणालीबाट पैसा झिकेर तरलता घटाउने प्रयास गरिएको हो। यसअघि वैशाख २४ मा राखिएको ३१ अर्ब ६५ करोड रुपैयाँ अझै परिपक्क नभइकन नयाँ ८० अर्ब प्रशोचन गरिँदैछ।Excess Liquidity Challenges NRB’s Interest Rate Corridor Management; NPR 80 Billion Mopped Up in a Day The persistent excess liquidity in Nepal’s banking system has made it increasingly difficult for the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to manage the interest rate corridor. Despite declining interest rates, credit demand remains sluggish. With limited loan disbursement opportunities amid weak economic activity, banks are redirecting surplus liquidity into short-term instruments. As a result, NRB has once again moved to absorb excess funds from the system. Today, it issued a 21-day deposit collection instrument worth NPR 80 billion to mop up liquidity. This comes even before the previously collected NPR 31.65 billion from April 6 has matured.

The opposition accused the involvement of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak in a large-scale human trafficking operation carried out through an organized setting within the Immigration Department. The opposition demanded the immediate resignation of the Home Minister and called for the formation of a high-level independent investigation commission. The session, originally called to unveil the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2081/82, could not proceed as planned due to the uproar. Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire attempted to continue the session, but the ongoing chants and protests from opposition lawmakers forced the house to adjourn. Despite a temporary suspension for 30 minutes, no political consensus was reached, and the session was ultimately postponed. The Parliament Secretariat issued an official notice announcing that the next House session is now scheduled for Wednesday, May 28 (Jestha 14), at 11:00 AM. However, doubts remain over whether that session will proceed smoothly, as the opposition remains firm on their demand for the Home Minister’s resignation before allowing any parliamentary business to move forward.
