अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय लेखा परीक्षणमा ढिलाइ, आईएमएफको सर्त प्रभावित अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) सँगको विस्तारित कर्जा सुविधा (ईसीएफ) अन्तर्गत नेपालले पाउने कर्जाको बाँकी किस्ता प्रभावित हुने अवस्था सिर्जना भएको छ। राष्ट्र बैंकले १० वाणिज्य बैंकहरूको पूर्ण लेखा परीक्षणका लागि अघि बढाएको प्रक्रिया विवादमा फसेपछि लेखा परीक्षण कार्य ढिलाइ हुने निश्चित भएको हो। राष्ट्र बैंकले छनोट गरेको बंगलादेशी लेखा परीक्षण संस्था हाउलादार युनुस एन्ड कम्पनी को विरुद्धमा प्रतिस्पर्धी संस्था मेहेरा–जेकेएसएस–एसएसबीडीआई ज्वाइन्ट भेन्चर ले सर्वोच्च अदालतमा रिट दायर गरेपछि प्रक्रिया रोकिएको छ। न्यायाधीश हरिप्रसाद फुँयालको एकल इजलासले अल्पकालीन अन्तरिम आदेश जारी गर्दै दुवै पक्षलाई छलफलमा बोलाएको छ।Delay in Full Audit of Commercial Banks Amid IMF Loan Condition Dispute The full audit of ten commercial banks required under the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Extended Credit Facility (ECF) condition is now facing delays, following legal disputes over the selection of the auditing firm by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). The central bank had selected Haolader Yunus & Co. of Bangladesh for the second phase of auditing, set to begin in mid-July (Asar), but the selection has been challenged in Nepal’s Supreme Court by rival bidder Mehera–JKSS–SSBDI Joint Venture, which was not chosen. Following a hearing on Friday, Justice Hari Prasad Phuyal’s single bench issued an interim order and summoned both parties for a detailed hearing. The complainant argues that a technically weaker firm was selected in violation of competitive standards and has sought judicial review.

The CIAA registered the case on Sunday, alleging corruption during the extension of a contract related to the maintenance of Nepal Telecom’s billing system. Among the defendants is also suspended former MD Sunil Paudel, who was previously accused in separate corruption and illicit wealth cases. Following Paudel’s suspension, Sangeeta Pahadi was appointed as MD in Bhadra 2081 (August/September 2024) by the government.

डिम्याट खाता ६७ लाख नाघ्यो, तर सक्रिय लगानीकर्ता कम काठमाडौं – सेयर बजारमा कारोबार गर्न अनिवार्य गरिएको डिम्याट खाता (हितग्राही खाता) खोल्नेको संख्या ६७ लाख ५२ हजार नाघेको नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्डको तथ्यांकले देखाएको छ। तर, यति धेरै डिम्याट खाता खुले पनि बजारमा सक्रिय रूपमा कारोबार गर्ने लगानीकर्ताको संख्या भने तुलनात्मक रूपमा निकै कम रहेको पाइएको छ। २०७७ सालको असार मसान्तमा करिब १७ लाख डिम्याट खाता रहेकोमा, त्यसपछिका आर्थिक वर्षहरूमा तीव्र वृद्धि हुँदै चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८१/८२ को वैशाख मसान्तसम्म यो संख्या ६७ लाख ५२ हजार ७ सय पुगेको Demat Accounts Cross 6.7 Million, But Active Investors Still Low Kathmandu – The number of Demat (Beneficiary) accounts in Nepal has surpassed 6.75 million, driven by the mandatory requirement to hold a Demat account to participate in the stock market. However, the number of active investors remains significantly lower compared to the total accounts opened. According to the Nepal Securities Board (SEBON), as of the end of Baisakh 2081/82 (April–May 2025), the number of investors who have opened Demat accounts reached 6,752,700. Analyzing the trend shows that individual investors dominate the Nepali stock market, with 52.57% male and 42.43% female participation, based on CDS records.

अर्थ मन्त्रालय र मातहतका निकायमा एक खर्बभन्दा बढी बेरुजू चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८१/८२ को चैत मसान्तसम्म अर्थ मन्त्रालय र त्यसअन्तर्गतका निकायमा जम्मा एक खर्ब ११ अर्ब १८ करोड रुपैयाँ बेरुजू देखिएको छ। अर्थ मन्त्रालयले सार्वजनिक गरेको प्रगति विवरण अनुसार मन्त्रालय स्वयम्‌मा मात्र पाँच करोड ३० लाख रुपैयाँ बेरुजू रहेको छ। पारदर्शिता र वित्तीय अनुशासनका लागि चुनौती बनेको यो बेरुजू रकम विभिन्न निकायहरूमा यस प्रकार देखिएको छ:Over NPR 111 Billion Unsettled Amount Under MoF and Its Agencies; Only 32.82% of Foreign Aid Target Achieved As of the end of Chaitra (March/April) in the current fiscal year 2081/82, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and its subordinate agencies have accumulated unsettled amounts totaling NPR 111.18 billion, according to the ministry’s performance report. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has dropped by NPR 3,000 per tola, setting today’s rate at NPR 190,700 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver also decreased, falling by NPR 5 per tola. The current rate for silver stands at NPR 2,145 per tola. As per international media reports, the global gold price today is fixed at USD 3,311 per ounce. Traders anticipate that the decline in prices may result in increased buying activity in the domestic market.
