The company announced that the AGM unanimously approved all general and special resolutions, including the adoption of financial statements for FY 2081/82 and the decision to move forward with its Initial Public Offering (IPO). Darchula Power Limited, a subsidiary of Api Power Company Limited, is currently constructing the 28.304 MW Mid Chameliya Hydropower Project in Darchula district. The project, estimated to cost around Rs. 5.66 billion, is progressing rapidly, according to the company.

The plan is promoted by Machhapuchhre Bank and managed by Machhapuchhre Capital. In the first phase, applications have been invited for the issuance of a total of 2 crore units. The total size of the scheme is 5 crore units. Out of this, 15 percent (75 lakh units) has been reserved for the fund promoter and the scheme manager. Within the reserved portion, 70 lakh units (14%) are allocated for Machhapuchhre Bank and 5 lakh units (1%) for Machhapuchhre Capital. The remaining units will be available for general investors.

The announcement was made on Friday during a press conference organized in Phungling Bazaar, where the company briefed media representatives about the founder share issuance. According to the company, beneficiaries from the project-affected districts—Taplejung and Panchthar—will be able to invest a minimum of NPR 10,000 in founder shares. For investors from other districts, the minimum investment amount has been set at NPR 100,000. The company stated that the share issuance will close once the required capital target of NPR 1.05 billion is fully collected. Kabeli Energy clarified that the lower minimum investment requirement for Taplejung and Panchthar residents has been introduced to ensure that people directly affected by the project can participate in share ownership with ease.

      भारतको ‘दुर्लभ पृथ्वी स्थायी चुम्बक’ उत्पादनमा ठूलो लगानी, आपूर्ति जोखिम घटाउँदै आत्मनिर्भरता लक्ष्य भारत सरकारले उच्च-प्रविधि उद्योगका लागि अति आवश्यक मानिने दुर्लभ पृथ्वी स्थायी चुम्बक (Rare Earth Permanent Magnet–REPM) को घरेलु उत्पादन बढाउन ८० करोड अमेरिकी डलरभन्दा ठूलो योजना स्वीकृत गरेको छ। चीनलगायत बाह्य बजारमा निर्भरता बढ्दै गएपछि आपूर्ति जोखिम कम गर्ने र दीर्घकालीन आत्मनिर्भरता कायम गर्ने उद्देश्यले सरकारले यस्तो रणनीतिक निर्णय लिएको हो। दुर्लभ पृथ्वी तत्वको मिश्रणबाट बन्ने REPM विद्युतीय सवारीसाधन, एयरोस्पेस, रक्षा प्रविधि, पवन चक्कीदेखि नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा प्रणालीसम्म प्रयोग हुने अत्यन्तै शक्तिशाली चुम्बक मानिन्छ। भारतले हाल यसको माग अधिकांशत: आयातबाट पूरा गर्दै आएको छ। तर सन् २०३० सम्म आवश्यकतामा दोब्बर वृद्धि हुने अनुमान सरकारकै छ, जसका कारण घरेलु उत्पादनलाई समयमै विस्तार गर्नुपर्ने दबाब बढेको थियो।India Approves Major Investment to Boost Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Production, Aiming to Reduce Dependence on China The government of India has approved a major plan worth more than USD 800 million to expand domestic production of Rare Earth Permanent Magnets (REPM), a crucial input used across high-technology industries. Mohammad Saif, a resident of Kalaiya Municipality in Bara district and currently living in Dallu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–15, was taken into custody following a special tip-off. Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson Pawan Kumar Bhattarai confirmed that Saif had been operating crypto-related activities from his residence in the capital. Police seized two mobile phones used for conducting transactions through various digital platforms. Preliminary investigations revealed that Saif had carried out more than NPR 198.1 million (over 19 crore 81 lakh) worth of cryptocurrency transactions using those devices. Authorities believe he had been actively involved in large-scale virtual currency trading despite Nepal’s legal restrictions.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold decreased by Rs. 400 per tola, while silver increased by Rs. 60 per tola. As per today’s updated rate, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs. 248,400 per tola. Likewise, the price of silver has risen to Rs. 3,280 per tola. On Wednesday, gold was traded at Rs. 248,800 per tola, whereas silver stood at Rs. 3,220 per tola. With today’s revision, gold prices have edged lower while silver has continued an upward trend.
