सरकार चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को बजेट खर्च गर्नमा ढिलाइ भइरहेको छ। माघको अन्त्यसम्ममा सरकारले मात्र बजेटको ४०.८ प्रतिशत खर्च गरेको छ, जसमा ८ खर्ब १ अर्ब रुपैयाँ खर्च भएको छ। सबैभन्दा बढी खर्च चालु खर्चमा गरिएको छ, जुन कर्मचारी तलव, भत्ता र दैनिक सञ्चालनमा लाग्ने खर्चहरूमा व्यय गरिएको छ। पुँजीगत खर्च भने अत्यन्त कम खर्च भएको छ, जसमा मात्र १५.६ प्रतिशत खर्च भएको छ। राजस्व संकलनमा सुधार देखिएको छ, कुल ६ खर्ब ६९ अर्ब ३२ करोड रुपैयाँ संकलन भएको छ, जुन गत वर्षको तुलनामा बढी हो। तर, आयकर संकलनमा गिरावट आएको छ, जसको कारण ब्याज दरको घटाव र शेयर बजार तथा घरजग्गा कारोबारमा देखिएको मन्दी हो। अर्थमन्त्रीले चुनावका कारण बजेट खर्चमा कठिनाइ आएको बताए।The government has been slow to utilize its budget for the current fiscal year 2082/83. By the end of Magh, only 40.8% of the NPR 19 trillion 64 billion budget has been spent, with NPR 8 trillion 1 billion used. Most of the expenditure was in current expenses, such as salaries, allowances, and daily operations, which accounted for 47.6% of the allocated amount. However, capital expenditures, including long-term investments in infrastructure, were significantly underutilized, with only 15.6% of the budget for such projects spent. Revenue collection showed improvement, with NPR 6 trillion 69 billion collected, an increase from the previous year. Despite this, income tax collection was impacted by lower interest rates and a slowdown in the stock market and real estate sectors. The Finance Minister acknowledged the challenges in achieving the budget goals due to elections and other issues.
