पुस ९ गते नेपाली बजारमा सुन र चाँदीको मूल्यले फेरि नयाँ रेकर्ड बनाएको छ। यस दिन सुन प्रतितोला ९०० रुपैयाँ बढेर २ लाख ६८ हजार १०० रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ भने चाँदी तोलामा १६५ रुपैयाँले बढेर ४ हजार ४२० रुपैयाँमा कारोबार भएको छ। पछिल्ला दिनहरूमा दुवै धातुको मूल्य निरन्तर बढ्दै दैनिक नयाँ उचाइ कायम भइरहेको छ।On Poush 9, gold and silver prices in the Nepali market hit fresh record highs. The task force argues that such a revision is necessary to make rural and deprived-sector credit more targeted, effective, and results-oriented. According to the report, complaints have been growing that existing arrangements have failed to channel credit to genuinely poor and rural communities, indicating the need for policy recalibration rather than mechanical compliance. The task force has recommended assigning a greater role to development banks, finance companies, and microfinance institutions in delivering small and micro loans. At the same time, it has suggested gradually reducing the share of directed lending obligations imposed on commercial banks and instead encouraging them to expand credit toward productive sectors that generate employment. The panel believes this shift would help reconnect the banking system with the real economy, where credit demand remains unmet despite ample liquidity.

The report concludes that Nepal’s banking sector problems are no longer cyclical but structural in nature, requiring deep and coordinated reforms rather than short-term policy adjustments. The task force was formed on Jestha 30 by Nepal Rastra Bank under the leadership of former Securities Board chairperson Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, after credit expansion stalled and bad loans began rising at an abnormal pace. The three-member committee studied the overall condition of the banking system and identified key weaknesses affecting credit flow and economic recovery.

A report published by the Banking Sector Reform Recommendation Task Force, 2082 states that the process of delisting Nepal will require extraordinary institutional commitment, with the central bank’s role being decisive. According to the report, in line with the fifth amendment to the Anti–Money Laundering Act, the Financial Intelligence Unit under the central bank should be developed as an independent and empowered body. Given the sensitive nature of currency laundering and its direct linkage with the payment system, the task force has identified the central bank’s involvement as central and unavoidable, calling for swift and effective implementation of corrective measures.

तीन कारोबार दिनको गिरावटपछि मंगलबार नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेञ्ज (नेप्से) परिसूचक सामान्य अंकले बढेर बन्द भएको छ। नेप्से ३.२७ अंकले बढ्दै २५८४.४९ विन्दुमा पुगेको हो। परिसूचक बढे पनि कारोबार रकम भने घटेर ३ अर्ब ४२ करोड रुपैयाँमा सीमित भएको छ। १३ उपसमूहमध्ये ७ उपसमूह बढेका छन् भने ६ उपसमूह घटेका छन्।After falling for three consecutive trading days, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed marginally higher on Tuesday. The benchmark index gained 3.27 points to settle at 2,584.49. However, total market turnover declined to NPR 3.42 billion. Out of 13 sub-indices, seven ended higher while six closed in negative territory.

The company has proposed a dividend of 4% bonus shares and 8.5% cash dividend (including tax). For AGM and dividend purposes, the book closure date is set for Poush 17, and shareholders holding shares up to Poush 16 will be eligible to receive the dividend.
